My family were very fortunate to stay in one of the holiday cottages in Lough Lannagh Village. We had a three bed-roomed (all en-suite) detached cottage that provided plenty of room for our family of two adults and two children and our friends (two adults and two children). The village is situated right beside the beautiful Lough Lannagh, which is surrounded by a park with a playground. There are also facilities for campervans/caravans and camping. The cottage was very well equipped and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was an extra benefit. The village is well placed within walking distance of Castlebar and it is a great base for exploring Mayo. The proprietor Paul exuded calmness and you could feel this echoed through the village. We will definitely return to Lough Lannagh Holiday Village!

House was well maintained. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Very centrally located for all the amenities and the beautiful walks around the lakes. We stayed in the main house. Room basic but very inexpensive. There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom which remained all day even though we left the window open. Walls are thin and we could hear people talking during the night. Didn't mention the problem with the room as the girl at the desk was so nice and also as we had got such a good rate for the Bed and Breakfast. Speaking of which...the breakfast was very nice. Lots of things for families with children around the house/cottages.
The house was booked out. We would go back again and hopefully would have better luck with the room.

We found a review of the lodge on Trip Advisor and decided to check it out. We were lucky enough to find the Lodge open in the off season as there was a large sporting event taking place in Castlebar. We stayed in the B&B and really enjoyed it. The cafe is great, and the staff helpful and friendly. We even took advantage of the residents' kitchen and cooked our own dinner on the second night. This is a lovely place in a lovely setting, great value, and close to the town center.

My son and I stayed here in July and ended up extending our stay by a night. we stayed in the B and B and found it exceeded all expectations.the staff were very friendly and helpful, it was good value for money and the location is both peaceful and very handy for the town centre. It was a great base to explore Mayo from and meet up with family. I will definitely stay here again and would try the lodge next time.

After having trouble finding a B&B, we came across this huge complex. It was very good, with lots of rooms. Had the weather been better we certainly would have taken advantage of the wonderful amenities provided by the complex. This would be a great place to stay with children. Was nice to have an bath and a shower, and the water pressure was fantastic, this was one of the best showers we had while in Ireland! Breakfast in the dining room was good - another huge Irish breakfast. A great place to stay.

Room Tip: Lots of rooms in a very quiet location.
