We chose this hotel to be our base for touring County Sligo and it's coast line. We had initial problems finding the hotel due to my Sat Nav having it listed as the Days Hotel despite the name being changed several years ago.
The hotel has excellent free undercover car parking which was especially useful during the passing of the hurricane.
We were welcomed by very friendly and efficient staff and were delighted to find that we had been allocated a suite which had super king size bed, separate seating area and kitchen, also a well appointed bathroom. All this was complemented by picture windows an two sides of the room.
The food offered at breakfast and in the evening was superb offering local produce.
The hotel is a good base for visiting the many shops and bars in the town and the well informed staff were very helpful in recommending the most lively venues.
We were also delighted to find the staff had recognised that our trip was our honeymoon and provided appropriate treats.
I would definitely chose this hotel for any future visits to the area.

We stayed here the weekend before Hurricane Ophelia hit. Front of house staff like Lisa are tremendous ambassadors for the hotel, waiting staff like Angel so helpful and knowledgeable all combine to make this hotel a 'must stay' if in Castlebar. In fact we intend to return and use it as a base to visit other parts of Mayo. Highly recommend it and the food is delicious.

We highly recommend this hotel. The decor as you walk in takes your breath away! The rooms are big and spotless. Plenty storage. But the staff really make the visit! A special thanks to Aidan and Robert who made us feel very welcome. The receptionist were extremely helpful. All the staff work brilliantly together. I can't praise this hotel enough! Thank you so much :)

Disappointing. It was pegged as a four star hotel!!!! What a joke. The bar was a hatch in the lobby. The only place to eat was in the lobby. I saw no four star appearance. It should be classed as a travel lodge. That is what this place is. It would have been perfect for anyone travelling for work and heading to bed early dry.

Thank you for your review and feedback on your recent stay at the Harlequin Hotel.
As advertised on our website and all social media channels our property is a Four Star Boutique Style Hotel with an open plan ground floor that hosts our Foyer Restaurant and full bar facility. We also serve for the convenience of guests not wanting a full restaurant experience a light bites option in our lobby area. If these facilities did not meet with your expectations we apologise.
