We stayed in Glinsk during the second last week of August 2017. From the time of booking, Gerry was very attentive to our needs by sending on information, a map and directions. He provided us with a lovely welcome and while we expected to arrive to a bare house, he had provided snacks and food for us to ensure that we settled in well. The house is very well furnished and it provided an excellent base for our visits to Croagh Patrick, Kylemore, Ashford, Cong, Achill and the Wild Atlantic Way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house to anyone wishing to explore the Mayo coast. Thanks again! Edward
We've just returned from a 10 day stay in the cottage and a fabulous holiday. The bungalow offers warm, dry comfortable accommodation with stunning - ever changing - views of the local area. It's situated on the Sheeffry pass and close to the Atlantic Way. There is no shortage of cycle routes and walking in the area with good road access to attractions that are a little further away such as Achill island, the fabulous hidden valley and the lovely village of Leenane. Gerry is the perfect host - not intrusive but available if needed.
have stayed in the above property a number of times over the years and the sense of space and location is absolutely awe inspiring. Not too far from the town about 4 miles and ust off the Lenane Road this property offers any lodger splendid views of Croagh Patrick and a scenic view which constantly changes light is stunning whether misty or clear blue just the location is picture perfect and has some neighbors in close enough proximity not to make one feel isolated. The house itself is clean and comfortably decorated and dry and warm as required and sleeps 6 comfortably it also has its own ground and close by their is a lake within viewing distance which offers boat hire and fishing . The location is quite spectacular in that it is not too far from the Galway border and the Delphi outdoor center offers activities for the more adventurous and energetic. Achill Island is not too far away and clew bay is on the way there with its 365 island and inlets which is well worth a visit. Horse riding is also available close by and this area is the home of the connemara pony and clifden has an annual show showcasing these wonderful animals.
