Stayed at the Quay West for three nights as we explored the Westport area. We were greeted by the owner, David, who is delightful. Our room was immaculate. We found the bed very comfortable, but a little small. Breakfasts were standard Irish, and good quality. It is a good hike into town, about 6 blocks, and about the same to the water. Westport was a wonderful stop on our 2 week trip, and we are so glad we included it in our itinerary!

Lovely house about 15-20 mins walk over the hill to the town center. Rooms great and breakfast good. Hosts are freindly but at 47 euro a bit on the dear side - our average room rental was more in the region of 35 euro each

Good location - you can easily walk into town or to the harbour, good room, everything one could desire, excellent breakfast and friendly reception. And the house is warm - this time it was spring but I stayed here before in winter, when a lot of places in Ireland are not well heated. There is also a nice sitting room, where you can sit and read or watch TV in the evening if you don't feel like going out. Perfect for a few days in Westport.

Room Tip: If you're sensitive to noise, ask for a room out the back

My wife and I stayed for two nights at Quay West Guest House over Easter weekend. The property is very clean and well maintained, the room was spacious enough and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom a little on the small side—and no tub—but the shower was great. We also appreciated the large, on-site car park.

Your hosts are very pleasant and accommodating and the Full Irish Breakfast is superb. We also enjoyed having tea and coffee in the front room, chatting with other guests and looking at picture books of Ireland. Very comfortable!

We travel a lot and have stayed at countless hotels and B&Bs of all kinds and at all price levels. If you're a practical traveler who prefers efficiency over opulence, we can enthusiastically recommend David and Sarah's place, especially because of their convenient location and fantastic value for money.

A lovely family owned business in a great location in between the town and the quay. I would recommend anyone visiting westport to use quay west guest house as a base for what ever your in to , hiking croagh patrick or taking in the surrounding sites, deep sea fishing, taking the kids to westport house for a day out etc.

the beds are so comfortable we nearly missed the deliciously cooked breakfast served by dave in the morning.

the Owners - dave and sara are extremely informative, and helped us with directions to croagh patrick, as well as recommending many restaurants, a 2 minute walk down to the quay.

I arrived at the B&B last Saturday evening and met David, who showed us to our room. The room and bathroom were super clean and very comfortable. David showed us the TV room, where you can also make tea and coffee. The Wi-Fi is also brilliant. The TV room is great to relax for a while before we went into town for something to eat. Later I asked David for directions and he gave me a great map. We had to get up very early the next day and only had some muesli, joghurt and coffee. The breakfast room looked lovely with nice menus and an adequate selection of cereal, fruit and joghurts. I will def come back to this B&B.
