We arrived at this beautiful house on Saturday evening exhausted from having spent the day sunbathing on the beach on Inishboffin .The welcome from Ena was second to none .We hadn't booked but Ena accomodated in her downstairs bedroom for which I was extremely grateful .A spacious airy immaculate room .Then after a delighteful rest Ena's daughter drove us the short distance to Westport and gave us any amount of info on local hostelries.A lovely quiet night's sleep and tasty breakfast with homemade scones and we were on our way feeling very happy to have spent the night with Ena and determined to return in the near future

A beautiful bed and breakfast situated a stones throw from Westport.
Bedrooms so comfortable and clean.
Breakfast freshly cooked and delicious.
Would highly recommend this lovely B & B. to anyone travelling to Westport.
Ina and Ger also have self catering facilities which are attached to the house and also provide lovely accommodation.

This is our second time staying at Lurgan House B&B. Ena is very welcoming, and nothing you ask is too much. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Food is home made and scones and tea was on the ready as soon as we arrived. Choice of breakfast has everything to please all tastes. Ena opens her home to you, making you feel very comfortable. Our price was reduced due to us staying two nights. Ena organised for our luggage to be transferred to our next accommodation in Leenane. Four of us stayed and we all enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to our next stay P.G. We stayed on 4th and 5th April 2014

We have just stayed in the self-catering section of Lurgan House B & B for the past week and found Christina (Ena) and her husband to be extremely kind and welcoming hosts. They were especially kind to our young children which we greatly appreciated, and went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we were comfortable and happy. The house was the best value for money we found after doing a very detailed search. It is also well located for cycling on the Greenway, fishing and easy access to Westport town.

Very friendly and welcoming, pricing was very reasonable. Beds very comfortable, rooms a nice size and well kitted out. Breakfast was excellent but most of all the place was spotless. Will definitely stay here again.

Accommodations immaculate Hospitality Amazing --The owner Christine cooked a homemade breakfast with all the details of home. The cottage was lovely. It was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was very well provisioned with the best range of equipment we've ever had in a rental cottage - very important as I still enjoy cooking even when we're on holiday! Ena was waiting to greet us on arrival with a wonderful, unexpected but very welcome hamper of 'goodies' - milk, bread, bacon, eggs, fruit etc. The bedrooms were lovely and had blackout blinds as well as curtains. The bathrooms were immaculate.
Ena was very kind and attentive to our needs, but never 'in our faces' - she popped over with some hot scones one morning, appeared with some huge beach towels when she spotted us packing our wetsuits another day and left a laundry basket for us when she saw that I'd done some laundry and we really should have taken her up on that offer of a cooked breakfast!

Although it was a family holiday, we were actually 5 adults - us, our 2 daughters and 1 boyfriend. The house is advertised as sleeping 5-8 and there were enough beds for 8 people, but only by having a double and a single bed in 2 rooms. It was fine for the 5 of us, but it would have been very tight for space for any more than 5 and you would not be able to fit more than 5 around the dining table at the same time, but that is the only minor negative in an otherwise wonderful holiday in a super cottage that we would happily return to and also highlt recommend to others.
