We stayed at the Clew Bay hotel for 3 nights, in a family room. The room was great, nicely decorated, clean modern bathroom, very comfortable. It is a very family friendly hotel. We had easy access to the leisure facilities just across the car park, great pool with childrens pool with family changing rooms, it was brillant, the kids loved it. Good breakfast menu, we had dinner twice in maddens bistro, great food really good value, again family friendly.
The staff were very helpfull, and parking was easy, great location. Really enjoyed it, will stay there again. Highly recommend it!!

We stayed in this hotel on our 14-day Rick Steve tour of Ireland. Our room # 106 actually had two sleeping areas separated by the bathroom and connected by a hallway. One area had a double bed and the other a single so three people could easily sleep here. The was a bathtub in the bathroom; but there were no clocks in either of the sleeping areas. Breakfast - cold buffet and hot menu items.

Stayed here last weekend for the weekend. Originally it was myself and my friend sharing a twin room. We availed of the Croagh Patrick weekend, which was €165 per person, and included two nights bed and breakfast, one evening meal, transport to and from croagh patrick and packed lunch. A week before we were to leave, a third person decided to join us, and as a single room was extortionately priced, he shared the room with us, which we were told would cost another €165, even though he was just sharing the double bed in the room. The room cost us €495 for the weekend, and I have to say, for a 3 star hotel it was very bad value. I wore ear plugs both nights, as the noise in the corridor was unreal. The people I shared with expressed the same views. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely and I couldn't fault it. Breakfast was average. On the second morning, the waitress forgot to bring us toast, and when our breakfasts arrived we had to ask for it. For the price we paid I think a better service here should have been provided. We didnt avail of the transport to and from Croagh Patrick, as really, it was only out the road so there wasn't any point. Packed lunch consisted of a sandwich, water, fruit and chocolate bar, but I would gladly have brought my own for the price we paid. The car parking facilities are in a public car park which has to be paid for extra. Hotel is in an excellent location, but I would not class it as value for money, as we paid a five star price for a 3 star hotel.

We have just stayed 3 nights in the Clew bay hotel, the location of the hotel is great in the centre of the town. We had our 13week baby with us and the staff were so helpful when it came to helping to sterilise the baby bottles. We would also recommend Maddens Bistro to eat in or enjoy a cocktail. We will be staying again.

Stayed in the Clew Bay Hotel for three nights in total. The hotel is very clean with very friendly staff who are willing to help with any question you may have. It is located near to all the shops, pubs and facitilies that Westport has to offer. Will be back for another stay......
