Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. An ideal quiet getaway. Lots of things to see and do. The cottage has everything you'll need and lots of information on all the local attractions. Emmett was very helpful and had everything organized.

“Excellent house in fantastic area”

We have just returned from a fantastic week in Sinimh. From the start Emmet could not have been more helpful, accommodating or welcoming. They house is very homely and had everything for our family of 2 adults and 3 small children.
The Wi-Fi, heating, water etc worked perfectly and was easy to use. The good coffee machine is a nice touch to this home from home. They have also thought of everything you could need for a break away to that part of the world for both adults and children alike.
The location is magnificent, perched on top of an incline overlooking Clew Bay. It even has its own weather forecasting system (look out the window across Clew Bay. If you can’t see the sea, forecast is going to be bad!)
Therese in Staunton’s pub just around the corner was very hospitable and also informative on the local area. She also pulls a particularly nice pint of Guinness!
We would happily return to this lovely house when next on our visit to Westport.

“Excellent Comfortable Home”

Firstly, before we arrived we received really detailed information from the owner, it gave us all of the information we needed about the house. We also had contact with the owner, who was extremely helpful, and ensured we no issues accessing the house.

When we arrived, it was a cold day, and the house was lovely and warm. The heating was excellent, and provided all of the hot water we needed.

We used the cooking facilities every day, the cooker and hob were extremely easy to use.

We found the house very convenient to getting to Westport, and we cycled the Western Greenway on more than one day.

“fantastic”

Lovely house very well located for walking and cycling. Well equipped inside. Emmet was a pleasure to deal with very helpful and quick to respond to queries. Staunton's pub is a gem and Therese very generously offered to heat up our lasagne on the first night when there was an ESB power cut and our electricity was cut off. The Guinness was very moreish and the pub has a lovely atmosphere, comfortable seating and a lovely fire each evening. In one word heaven. Vincenzi the local "I TALIAN " taxi driver provides a very reasonable and efficient service into Westport and he has a good sense of humour. Although there is no need to leave Lecanvey as everything you need for a great holiday both day and night is there. Thanks Emmet for organising great weather as well. A little bit of paradise.

“Would gladly go back”

First off, the owner Emmet, was extremely responsive to all my questions. There's nothing worse (or more disquieting) than an owner who doesn't respond promptly to messages (particularly when you're dealing with people you've never met living on another continent).

The info sheet he sent was the most complete any owner has ever provided us. It was very helpful.

Finding the place and picking up the keys from Therese at Staunton's Pub was as easy as billed.

More importantly, the house was as billed. And everything worked from the wifi to the hot water. Everything we need was there, so we simply bought some food and moved in for a week. I particularly appreciated the fireplace where we built a fire every night.

I can't believe how fast the week passed - as the title says, We'd gladly go back.

“Nice place to stay!”
Reviewed 3 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We loved our stay here. It worked very well for 4 adults and 2 children. Has a washer but no dryer for clothes. Loved Therese at Staunton's Pub where we picked up the keys for the house. She was lovely. Thanks for everything Emmet!
