This was or 3rd year in a row visiting the Castlecourt. We have 3 kids aged 13,10 and 9 at the time we stayed here last. Always get an excellent welcome. Rooms are lovely, food is fab, kids club very welcome. So nice to be able to wander around Westport without the kids dragging along. Westport is a fab town. Would highly recommend the Castlecourt for a family getaway but this is our 3rd year in a row so we are gonna give it a miss for a couple of years. Enjoy.

I was organising my brother's stag weekend in Westport. There was a group of 19 of us staying in the Castlecourt. From the beginning the hotel was very helpful and flexible with regards booking. I reserved 10 rooms initially and paid a €200 deposit. Closer to the arrival date when I had to reduce the number of rooms we required, this was no problem for the hotel.
We got a deal of €155 per person sharing for two nights. We each paid a €50 deposit also but there was no hassle getting this back on check out. This also included breakfast, a two course evening meal and free entry into the nightclub. This was very reasonable. This was all payable on arrival and each guest settled their own bill so this saved me a lot of hassle collecting money before hand.
Overall the hotel was very nice and the food was great. The leisure centre is a nice way to shake of your hangover in the morning too. The residents bar serve quite late to which is another added bonus. The hotel is in a great location in the centre of Westport. The town itself is great fun. It is full of stag and hen parties and there is no trouble getting into pubs in large groups.
I would definitely recommend Westport as a location and the Castlecourt as where to stay for a hassle free fun filled weekend.

I organised a night away for a group of 11 friends. Booking was made easy by the friendly staff, as was the check-in on the day. All the rooms where very spacious, clean and comfortable. The food both evening and breakfast was delicious. Service staff very polite and efficient. We also had the free use of the leisure facilities. Evening entertainment in the adjacent bar was excellent and enjoyed by everyone. I would definitely recommend Castlecourt hotel to all my friends and family and look forward to another visit very soon.

Room Tip: Room facing the car park are quiet

Just home from a three night stay in The Castlecourt Hotel, Westport. Have no complaints. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. The bedrooms very comfortable and bathrooms spotless. Would recommend the food, both breakfast and dinner.

Room Tip: I was on the first floor and heard no noise and had a great night's sleep.

We had a great stay at the Castlecourt Hotel. Everything from the staff at reception, to the restaurant and the bar was excellent. Can't wait to go back. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are big and everything is so closeby. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious, so will be planning a return stay very soon.

I organised a hen party for 40 people in June and the Castlecourt made this so easy. Even with last minute cancellations they were very understanding and accommodated us in whatever way they could.

Breakfast both mornings was served in the restaurant and the choice and service were second to none. We also had a 4 course meal included in our package and the food was excellent. Everyone was impressed again with the quick service and choice on the set menu.

The hotel also supplied us with free extras with the group booking which really made the weekend: free upgrade for the brides room, free mac make up for the bride, free entry to the nightclub for everyone and a free glass of bubbly with dinner, free use of the pool and leisure facilities. Most importantly, they supplied us with a free room for a dance class and later on in the evening when everyone gathered before dinner. We really appreciated this as our group were too big to gather in one of the bedrooms and there was no extra cost charged by the hotel.

All of the staff were so friendly and helpful, from the manager to the cleaners. Sometimes when you're part of a big noisy group you feel that maybe the hotel would get a little annoyed but all of the staff were so welcoming.

The hotel is an ideal location for parties as it is so central, we were able to walk to the pubs and home again. The night club is attached to the hotel which is ideal when you're coming home after it!

I didn't get a chance to use the pool or thermal suite but any of the hens who used it were really impressed and urged everyone else to go. I was very sorry I didn't get a chance to use it.

The weekend we stayed there were other weddings and hen parties also in the hotel but because the hotel bar and lobby is so big it never felt like we were all on top of each other and we had plenty of room to stay together.

Overall I would definitely recommend the Castlecourt as a hen party venue and would go back again tomorrow.

Stayed with my partner for one night in mid June. We got a very reasonable rate through booking.com and the hotel was excellent value for the money.

The rooms and decor are a little dated and the furniture a little scuffed but the room was clean and had the basic amenities. The first room we were shown was overlooking the kitchen fans and we requested to be moved and were given a quieter room overlooking the carpark. The next morning when housekeeping had alot of the room doors open it appeared alot of the rooms may be overlooking the kitchen top so it may be worth clarifying what room you want are checking into prior to arrival. Also other roomswill face onto the busy street.

The hotel is in a good location with it being less than a five minute walk to the main bars and eateries.

I had stayed in the Westport plaza in may. The castlecourt is the more worn of the two sister hotels and lacks the modern open feel of the plaza. There is no minibar or larger spa baths as in the plaza and the communal areas arent as open and decor is much more dated. However this is reflected in the price difference! If its a friendly hotel to put your head down then the castlecourt will more than suffice! Breakfast was almost identical in both hotels.
Would recommend!
