We loved our stay at the Wyatt, right in the middle of all of the action in Westport. The hotel is within walking distance of lots of shops, restaurants, and pubs. Comfortable rooms and bathrooms with a good complimentary breakfast. Pubs and restaurant in the property as well. Westport was a blast and the Wyatt was perfectly located.

It's at the Octagon, Westport, Co Mayo, Ireland. St Patrick is on the top of the pedestal overlooking the hotel and town.

Let me get this off my chest: I got the very last room on far end of the second floor and it was a long winding hike. I mentioned changing to the front desk, but after the first night I decided perhaps the room had its advantages.

The furniture looks very dated--not old and worn, just a funny style for a hotel. It reminded me of the 1950's or 60's and Sears. But everything was clean and in order. The shower was excellent! I could have stood in it all day.

The restaurant was good, not excellent in any way, but in line with comparable hotel restaurants. The service was very good. Breakfast for us was a full Irish breakfast. The bar and cafe were convenient and friendly.

Westport is a wonderful town. A river runs through it, giving it another special touch.

Even though I found the Wyatt very acceptable, I would want to consider at least two other properties before I returned, namely Westport Plaza and Castle Court Hotel. I had occasion to walk through both lobbies and they looked much superior. I did not see any rooms.

Across the square is a SuperValue store with a full range of supermarket shopping. Nearby streets are packed with shops and bars.

Great location to be in the centre of nightlife, restaurants etc. Staff very hospitable & great breakfast. Twin rooms were okay. Paid less than the usual standard rate & this may have been why the rooms were a little disappointing. Maybe there are different rates applicable to various room types? Check this out before you book...especially if you are looking for some luxury.

We stayed here because I won a weekend b&b and dinner on one night. The hotel is well situated in the centre of town but the car park is quite small. We got parking there one night but had on street parking the second night which was not an issue as it was Saturday night. Mon-Sat here is a one hour restriction during the day on a lot of the local parking so the car would have to be moved in the morning by ten or ten thirty.
The room, No.11, was tucked away on the ground floor and was quiet but it was small and quite dark. The shower was good.
Dinner in the dining room cost €36 regardless of whether you had one, two or three courses. In the bar, the same food was charged per item. The food was acceptable but unexciting, as was the breakfast, just what you would expect in a three star hotel.
The staff were very friendly and requests for extra pillows and towels were attended to immediately. The waitress at breakfast time was particularly friendly and efficient.
I would recommend the hotel if being in town was important.

Westport is now a major destination for hens and stags and this hotel is exactly what that is suited too. I wouldnt stay there for any other reason. Rooms are adequate for what we needed a long walk to alot of rooms which didnt help late at night. We had to park behind a local supermarket which locks gates at 9.30pm so if you need to remove car you could be stuck. Otherwise its all street parking if you can find a space!!!!

We booked this hotel as we were attending a wedding. The hotel is located in the town centre of westport, which is a lovely town.
The hotel staff were very good, the food was excellent and the whole day went very well.
The hotel itself is well laid out, the staff are curteous and kind.
We would recommmed this hotel, we intend to return to westort and to stay at the wyatt.
