Stayed in Ballycommon House in March 2009. Booked all four apts for a group hen party. The apts were lovely - nicely laid out with lots of dishes, glasses, etc. Plenty of room for a big group. Mary and Gerry, the proprietors of the pub and house are absolutely lovely and couldnt be more helpful. We cooked in the first night and then descended on the local pub. It was great craic - good music, good beer and lovely locals who were happy to entertain 25 women looking for a dance! The day was spent relaxing with walks by the canal. On the second night we headed into Tullamore - which is very nearby but actually came backto the pub again cos we had enjoyed ourselves so much the first night. Would definately recommend this location for any type of getaway with friends or family. Very reasonable, spotlessly clean & great fun! C
