“Whiskey Galore”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

Visited here with a small group in April - Very interesting and informative tour - lasts about 1 hour (including the tasting!!) The "reward" at the end of the tour is the tasting of 3 different Tullamore whiskeys - very enjoyable and worth the the tour fee for the enjoyment of the tasting. Just check the times of the tours before you go as we had to wait about 1 hour, as we had just missed the start of a tour. However we spent the time relaxing in the very nice coffee shop/restaurant, which was very good

“Tullamore DEW visit”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

On our way to Athlone for a wedding we stopped off at the Tullamore DEW visitor centre, as a treat for my husband. While waiting for the tour we had a pot of tea and scones in the cafe bar. It was a very interesting spot, toilets were very good and the decor was in keeping with the place. We were the only two on the tour so we had a really great personal tour of the distillery and the whiskey making process. The young lady was very well informed and really nice, not minding interuptions and said to ask any questions we wanted. There were films and hands on parts too. To end it all we had a very relaxed whiskey-tasting session, being told all about the various whiskeys we tried. A wonderful start to our weekend away.

“Surprised!”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

I was surprised to discover that there is a whiskey that I liked!

We really enjoyed the tour and the tasting. We have family living in Tullamore but never actually did this until now.

The place is very interesting and the staff is great.

“Whiskey Tasting”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

Had a tour of the Tullamore Dew centre yesterday - what an interesting place. Our guide, Ita, was fab, and promised us that she would show us how to drink Whiskey at the end of the tour. Fabulous building which takes you through the process and the history of distilling the whiskey. A definite 'must visit' if you're in this area.
