After spending just one night in this hotel I can confirm I will never be back. I would question it's 4 star rating as I stayed here just after staying in the redcastle hotel in Donegal, which is also 4 star, and they are worlds apart.
Dinner which was included in our package was greasy and the meat was very tough. I heard another diner asking for some tinfoil so he could bring his 26 Euro steak home for his dog because that's all it was fit for.
The poor food was only accentuated by equally poor service which got even worse for breakfast the next morning, where 3 waitresses were on duty for a very small crowd in what is a small restaurant and still we had to call one over so we could get our hot drinks and many tables were not set yet.
The rooms were very dated although it was like a trip down memory land to see a tube tv in a hotel room.
Location isn't exactly great either, Sligo town is at least half an hours walk.
Honestly the thing I'm looking forward to most about this hotel is checking out
