“Great weekend i booked a suite plenty of room i will stay again”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2013

As i said great weekend had i booked the suite because i like to have room to move i tend to book them when ever i go anywhere so in that since i have to say in the room there was an old and i do mean old tv my god i think we had one at home when i was a kid i really do think at least in a suite guests should have the best of everyting we do pay alot for the room to start with so firstly a modern flat screen and i have to say the recption on the tv was crap it needs to be sorted next the pillows were crap next time id nearly bring my own i was a bit put out with the fact for what i paid it was not B&B i was told i could add it for 20€ a day impressed with that. But for the good stuff now the staff were top class helpfull always the bed very comfy the room great all in all i would recommend this hotel and i will stay again as soon as i get a chance so its an 8/10 from me with only the small faults i mentioned pulling it down

My husband and i stayed in sligo city hotel for st patricks day. The hotel offers limited parking. The reception staff were pleasant, the bar staff were friendly. Our room was ok but i felt it could have been less dusty, batteries in the tv remote would have been appreciated, the lampshade over the wall light was missing a shade and we didnt have any milk or sugar in our room, when i tried to ring reception the phone didn't work!!! The breakfast was good but i felt the cooked breakfast could have been bigger. The restaurant was under staffed and the place was a mess!! The waitress was left running around like a headless chicken trying to clean tables and give people their food, i felt sorry for her. She was a great worker and did her best to keep everyone happy until another waitress arrived. This hotel is in a great location and because of this i would probably think about staying there again if the room price was lowered.

Went to Sligo for my Stag, as it turned out it was a fantastic decision, another great decision was booking into this hotel. It was really good value, all the lads were in agreement of that. The breakfast was included and I think we all made it out of bed both mornings. On a side note, I’m never seen so many individual jam pots on each table in my life.

I would not recommend staying at the hotel with a family as it’s stag and hen oriented and that’s fine. The walls are fairly thin so sound does travel which limits your ability to get a sound nights sleep at the weekend (if that’s what you’re looking for).

Well located for walking to town Centre. Helpful and friendly staff. It was good value for basic hotel accommodation. I stayed at a quiet time of year so I do not know how noisy it would be if busy. Top floor (3rd) was quiet, and nice view over the river. The windows were sloping and therefore heavy rain one night woke me up. The shower space was small.. (too small for a large person?) with one of those cold plastic curtains that likes to wrap around you when you use the shower!! And the drain needed attention !!

I have stayed in Sligo City hotel with my friend in september,2012.
It was weekend and hotel was very busy.We couldn't sleep because in the next room were very noisy. We called reception and made complain about it.Night porter ( I think he was from foreign country! ) was very nice and tried to help us.
When he tried to sort the problem next door, guys were very rude to him and they were telling him all sort of ugly words.
We felt sorry for him.
We will definitely not return back to this hotel again.

Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Large room with a great bathroom. Partial views of the beautiful river. The bed was very comfortable - and was a queen in size. Secure free parking. Tea and coffee facilities provided.
