“Biased because I live close to here :)”

I love Easkey! Go here for the surf and a good brisk walk but don't go if you are looking for nightclubs and a 'busy' town! I don't understand people who review the place saying that it is a bad thing that it is so quiet. That's the attraction; peace and quiet! You can walk the dogs on the coast road or go for a surf in a famous break!
Someone said 'looks like it is trying too hard to be something it just not is'....Easkey doesn't try at all... it just is! I didn't get this review at all...how is the village trying to be something it is not? It embraces the quiet village life while welcoming visitors with open arms. The community council keep the place neat and clean and the only tourism it gets is surfers....there are two country pubs; Magowans and The Fishermans Weir. There are butchers, Rosies Pottery Shop and two grocery shops. It's one of the rare villages that still feels Irish! Take the walk by the river; it's gorgeous! :)

“Surfcitynosun!”

Small village with great waves but stony shore. Has everything that is needed for a simple holiday or visit, fishing, surfing horse riding simple dining. Lots of international surfers never know who you will meet.

The split rock of Easkey is an interesting site and like all things Irish has a interesting tale about it.
