Stayed with Doreen at Tree Tops for (sadly) only one night in March. Doreen is an absolutely lovely lady who greeted us with a genuine warm welcome to her beautiful home. She is a mine of information too with handy ideas for a good meal / things to do etc. if it is your first visit to the area. The room was warm and spotlessly clean and the little extras like the bottled water, face cloths and toiletries in the en-suite and a decent hairdryer were very much appreciated. The bed was so comfortable too - great sleep. The breakfast room looks out on to the garden which would be even nicer in the summer and is filled with interesting art - as is the whole house. A wide variety of cereals, nuts and seeds, fruit, yogurt, muffins, scones etc. make up the cold buffet to start and then the hot breakfast menu .... I loved the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and the full Irish was brilliant too. All well cooked, plentiful (we were told just to ask for more if we were still hungry) and with good quality ingredients it really is a great way to start the day. - definitely no need to have lunch after a breakfast like that. Unfortunately we were in a bit of a hurry to leave for an appointment so didn't have the time to linger but that won't happen the next time. Already planning a return trip in the summer for a little while longer and I'm looking forward to it already - wouldn't stay anywhere else in Sligo after having the pleasure of meeting Doreen and experiencing her wonderful hospitality. Thank you!!

We stayed at this bed and breakfast for three days and plan to return next summer. The home is on a quieter side street but close enough to walk into the city center in about eight minutes. Our room was immaculate and well-supplied, and we were happy that the home is quiet. The breakfasts were the best in Ireland: a huge buffet of choices plus a menu of hot breakfasts on top of the buffet (unbelievable amount of salmon with the eggs.) Anyone going away hungry or dissatisfied must not like any food. We loved the owner who was friendly and offered lots of information about the city plus some tips that turned into fantastic hikes to megalithic tombs.

We stayed here one night to see Van Morrison during the Sligo Music and Poetry Festival in October. Doreen was cleaning the room when we arrived and was using bleach, so everything smelled clean and the room was very comfortable. Doreen provided us directions the technical college where the concert was to be played and gave us a great recommendation for an Italian Resturant prior to the concert. Breakfast the next morning was hot and served in Doreen's beautiful dining room decorated with her family pictures.

We stayed for only one night but enjoyed the ambiance of Doreen's lovely home. She was more than accomodating and made us feel as if it were our home. Close enough to town to walk twice in one day/night. Warm and comfortable room and breakfast was very good. Paintings and furniture were quite interesting and it would have been nice to spend another night there. Thank you Doreen!

We visited Sligo on a musical discovery recommendation. There was plenty of evidence of music venues, but our timing was not lucky and it wasn't to be; however, we did discover by chance a lovely B&B. Tree Tops B&B is a great place to stay while in Sligo, and not too distant a walk to town. We walked home fairly late at night and had no problems.Doreen is a lovely hostess and provides a very congenial atmosphere. Room was very clean, neat, and full of interesting original artwork.

Room Tip: She accepted our vouchers happily..

we really enjoyed our stay at tree tops. Doreen was a fabulous hostess and breakfast great with view on the garden. The house is full of paintings and works of art, like a little personal museum. The room is not big, but well heated and functional.

We have traveled all over Ireland many times but somehow missed SLigo. This is a great city both to visit and as a center to travel to other places. While here for 3 nights we stayed at Tree Tops. Centrally located - easy to get on the highways (and avoid going through downtown) yet close to walking to downtown - 10 minutes to all. Couldn't have felt more welcomed. The room was big with a very nice bath. Decorated very cozily. Had all of the amenities including a "menu" for breakfast. Host was more than helpful she went out of her way to give directions and maps along with her great cooking. If you plan to go to Sligo make this your stop.
