If you're traveling between Killarney (or Cork) and Dublin, don't fail to stop at the 13th century Cahir Castle (just off the main motorway between Cork and Dublin in the town of Cahir). More to learn and see than I can describe here, but it's all amazing. Lots to see, and many interesting passages and stairways to explore ... some not for the fainthearted. And, don't miss the guided tour ... a great history lesson ... our tour guide, Geoff, was very informative and humorous! (interesting defensive elements ... Watch out for the "stumble stairs" and the "murder holes")
