Susan and Dez go out of their way to give you a friendly and engaged welcome, lovely rooms with good beds away from city and traffic noise, and good food. As if that weren't enough, their hilltop site offers gorgeous views of the River Suir, Comeragh Mountains & the less industrial areas of Waterford. The location invites you to stroll the barleyfield surrounds. Very nice!

WOW, the reviews were good but did not fully reflect the standard offered. Great rooms, fantastic bathroom/showers, great sitting room, lovely hosts,
The breakfast had ample and good choice, unfortunately Des perhaps had an off day as my cooked breakfast was all too "well done" for my taste.

Susan and Des were amazing! We went there in early May, so it was not crowded, quiet, and had every amenity we could ask for. Here's a note, if you're like us and doing research on tripadvisor and then making reservations elsewhere, try to book directly through the B&B website. Expedia and other sites charge them a convenience fee, and we thought that the money would of course be better spent going directly to the people who provided us a great location, comfortable accommodations, and fantastic service. Note, this is not "in" Waterford, so to get back into town you have a 5 - 10 minute drive - but who cares...YOU'RE IN FRICKING IRELAND, every drive is filled with adventure. Would definitely stay here for a longer time on our next adventure to the Emerald Isle.

First, I find it hard to recall the name of the lovely couple, the B&B owners...Maybe Desmond and Susan? but anyway they were amazing! So kind, chatty, thoughtful...We had long, friendly talks with both of them, they were so kind and warm!! (We had a greeting card congratulating us on our marriage waiting in the room - we kept it:) The place is hardly new but it is very homey and cozy, we were pleased with our room and loved the awesome breakfast! There was a slightly strange smell in the corridor/hallway but other than that all was well. We are glad we chose to stay there even if its higher and farther than Waterford center, we had a very nice stay:)

I was here for my birthday tour of Ireland and after a lovely time in Waterford we made our way to this fantastic b&b . Des met us at the door and ensured we had a tour and tea. We settled into our very large room with a wonderful view above Waterford. Des recommended a great old pub not far from the b&b. The walk was a little dicey at times as there was very little sidewalk but we made it there and back without a problem (except too much fun with the locals and too much Guiness). The breakfast was great and they have REALLY fresh eggs. You can meet the hens out back.

Dear Erhealer
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review .
I am glad that you had a good time with the locals in Jack Meads's pub while enjoying the benefits of our world famous guinness drink. The road is indeed , a little dicey as you put it, as there is no footpath particularily when you walk back after your fun time.
Our hens are doing fine and producing eggs for the breakfast table which you enjoyed. We try to source all our produce locally to give everybody the experience of foods from our area and region.
We hope that you both had a wonderful vacation in ireland on the occasion of your birthday and that you have many fond memories and photographs of all your travels and the different locations which you visited.
