I would like to thank you for your lovely review about us here in the Waterford Marina Hotel, we all really appreciate the fact that after your visit you actually took time out to put your experience into words for Tripadvisor users to read. I personally love our location, the River Suir, with or without the sunshine, is right outside your window and you would never think that you were sitting in the middle of Waterford City.
I hope your visit us again in the very near future and would be delighted to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you.
Kind regards

There was a lft which brought great rejoicing from the spouses who had carried our suitcase up stairs at many of our previous lodgings. There was no air conditioning, no safe and nowhere to put your suitcases with easy access (this is important when only staying one night). The room was sort of clean but the rubber mat in the shower and the shower curtain were not pristine. Very small towels were provided.

On check in the staff tried to put us in a room over the bar. With live music from 9.30pm to 12.30am and the bar open till 3am we asked to be moved. We had no noise but had kept our windows firmly shut (not always an option with no air con).

We had dinner in the restaurant (50 euro for 2 people with 3 courses and coffee, including a bottle of wine). Food was quite good. The hotel is close to the Waterford Showroom.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to write a review of the Waterford Marina Hotel, I am glad having the choice of either of our two lifts brought joy to the luggage carriers especially if your room was on the fourth floor. With regards to the safe keeping of items we would have been happy to look after any valuables at reception for you and they would be accessible from 7am to 11pm with special arrangments made for outside these hours. I'm not sure if there is a mistake but your visit is dated on your review as September 2011 and I would like to assure you the bathmats and showercurtains are replaced on a regular basis and have been so many times over since then. We have live music in our Waterfront Bar every Friday and Saturday night from 10pm until 12midnight, all local bands that are never too loud so I would hope that our residents are not disturbed by them at the weekends. I'm glad you enjoyed our Special Dinner offer, it has been so popular that we are still running it throughout the week.
Thank you again for sharing your experience with Tripadvisor readers and if you are visiting Ireland again in the future we would be delighted to welcome you back to see the many new and exciting attractions of the Viking Triangle.
Kind regards

We have just got back from our second trip to the Waterford Marina in six months. We are already planning to visit again later in the year. Sometimes a second trip to a place you really enjoyed can be a disappointment. Not here. The wonderful staff were as welcoming as ever, the food was as delicious - and plentiful - as we remembered and the river views were as pleasant. The lovely location makes it peaceful, but it is still just a short walk from the city centre. It is a bit of a cliche, but nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. We will be recommending it to our friends.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view

Thank you very much for your lovely review, I am so glad your return visit was as enjoyable as your first. Here at the Waterford Marina Hotel we have a huge number of return guests and I have to attribute that to the staff that are here on a day to day basis making sure that everything that can be done is being done to ensure our guests are looked after to the very best of our ability. There are lots of festivals and events in Waterford City and County throughout the year and hopefuly on your next visit you will be able to enjoy one of them.
I would like the opportunity to introduce myself to you on your third return visit if you could ask for me when making a reservation or indeed on arrival to the hotel that would be great. Many thanks again for your lovely comments looking forward to meeting you in the near future.

first time we found tripadvisors reviews not corresponding to our experience. This is a tired three stars, without ideas and efforts. Although staff was very nice, especially in the diner, the decor is in need of rejuvenation. Incredible discovering that the bathroom still had (unexplicable) double taps hot / cold water, forcing you to get burnt / frozen swinging frantically from one another.

Stayed here from 23rd - 25th March with family. Have only good things to say.

Ate in the bar on both nights. Good variety and plenty to eat at reasonable prices - drinks in the bar were the same price as a bar we drank in while going around the shops in the town. Breakfast was really good too, lots of variety from fresh fruit, yogurts, cereal to full irish and all of good quality.

The staff in the hotel are very friendly from reception to bar staff.

Rooms are clean and well maintained. Wifi is very good unlike some hotels where you can barely get a signal.

Will definately return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the river Suir

A nice good old fashioned Irish Hotel. Right on the river and walking distance to main shopping streets and restraunts. This hotel is perfect for seeing Waterford. The staff are helpful and friendly, the bar has a bit of craic in it, the rooms are spacious and clean. Not really much going wrong here at all.
Ok its not the plushiest of fancy Dan hotels that will blow you away with flat screen tv's and See through lifts and the like but its everything that it needs to be. Went with my wife for a weekend and we found it to be ideal. As most have mentioned, not a lot it could be faulted on.
Location - Ideal and nice view of the river to add to it.
Bar - Nice bar that is busy enough at night time with singers on at weekends and it is right on the river for smokers, some nice scenery to look at when outside.
Staff - Very helpful, very nice, very friendly and professional
Cleanliness - Room was spotless and cleaned daily.
Food - we only had sandwiches at lunch one fo the days. Nice and fresh.
Price - Extremely reasonable.

Couldnt fault this place at all.

Oh and if going here. Make sure to take a drive out to Dunmore East, expecially if its a nice day. Beautiful spot.

Room Tip: Ask for A river view if at all possible.

I do not have a bad word to say about the hotel. My girlfriend and I were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was beautiful and spacious overlooking the River which was really nice. Everything was spotlessly clean. We asked for extra pillows which were dropped up straight away. Plenty of channels on the TV unlike other hotels were there are only one or two. Breakfast was really nice with a lot of variety. We did not eat in the bar or restaraunt so cannot really comment. It really was a lovely break away and we will definitely be back.

Thank you to Karen and her team.

Thank you Derek for sharing your lovely review of the hotel, I had been told prior to your arrival that you were celebrating a special occasion and therefore reception allocated one of the larger bedrooms with great views for you to enjoy. I am delighted you both enjoyed your visit to us and we all look forward to welcoming you back at any time in the future.
