Good hotel and great room overlooking the quay. Stayed for the annual Spraoi and for our anniversary and we were obviously put in an extra nice room with an anniversary card! Room was spacious and had all facilities we needed. Breakfast was okay, nothing special and a bit disappointed that a traditional Irish breakfast wasn't on offer. Overall a perfectly good stay and good value for money.

Room Tip: Room 94 overlooking the quay!

This is one of the classic tour company hotels in Ireland. It has limited towel service, limited pillows, no safe in the room and it has no air conditioning. If the weather is warm, you need to open the windows to cool the room down. There is not even a clock in the room and the TV is approximately 19 inches.

The Internet is only 4 euros for 24 hours access and the hotel pub is decent. The positives are the hotel is close to many stores and restaurants and the hotel food is also quite good. Not a bad hotel, but it is not 4 star so I could not rate it higher.

Dooley's Hotel was a busy spot with good food comfortable rooms and friendly service. There was good entertainment in the hotel in the evening. We enjoyed our trip to Waterford and found a great music shop with good value in instruments.A walk around the city shows how this area has been affected by the down turn with many vacant premises but we still found lovely shops and a trip to the cinema added to our visit. The views of the many boats on the river was delightful just a pity the weather was a bit dull and changeable. .

Stayed for two nights, staff freindly and helpful. Hotel was clean, room good size a bit outdated, but we were out most of the day, so only spent little time in room. Bedroom floors very creaky. Breakfast excellent. Live music in bar all weekend.would recommend for weekend stay.

Room Tip: In the centre of Waterford city, so very convenient.

We stayed in this hotel for one night as a part of the tour group, and were greatly disappointed. Though centrally located the hotel has no air-conditioning, elevator is very small, slow and creaky. The room had musty smell and poor housekeeping. The television in the room was really a joke. Our room was on the second floor and since one could not sleep in the sweltering heat (No-A/C), the windows had to be kept open and one could hear all the noises from the street below. As we stayed on a Friday night, we could not sleep being consistently disturbed hearing the loud brawls of the returning drunks up to early morning hours.
The Tour group had a farewell dinner at the restaurant. The food was unappetizing and of unacceptable quality. The preparation and presentation was very poor. I ordered Smoked Salmon for appetizer, Hake for my main entrée and peach flan for dessert. The appetizer came with two miniscule slivers of salmon. Hake was served with spaghetti sauce and the flan came as a cross between a muffin and a tart. The morning buffet breakfast was basic and surprisingly the prunes were fermented, perhaps due to continued recycling. What a disappointment!
Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. Find some other hotel please.

Stayed in this hotel in July 2013. Good location, and handy parking across the street. Friendly staff at arrival and nice basic room. Irish music playing at night time. Towels were a bit worn, but nice shower. One annoying thing was that you had to pay for wi-fi. It was only 4 euro, but a bit annoying seeing as you can get free wi-fi in many pubs and restaurants
