This is our fourth year coming back to Towers on the august bank holiday with my husband and three kids .We stay every year in waterford for spraoi festival and this is the best hotel to stay for this event due to location .It has been newly refurbished and it looks amazing clean lines, lively decor big sliding mirrored wardrobes lots of space, modern bathroom facilities including a rain shower in my bathroom and hot towel radiators available.Checked in-by a lovely and Tracey reception suppler visor amazing lady she organised our bookings for dinner breakfast and pool for the three days organising taxi checking out etc such a helpful lady .Breakfast was limited due it covid but very fresh and delicious and pancakes for kids with chocolate so they were made up and Staff are very friendly efficient and provide great customer service and the supervisor i think his name was Damien was so helpful and friendly.Every morning I ordered poached eggs and all three times came out a few mins later no asking twice which i find usually happens n weekend breakfast times .Restaurant staff was amazing including supervisor who organised table with a view for us. Dinner food was usual bar food menu was of a good standard including tasty burger ,steak and curry and kids meals were very tasty .They had entertaining on sat and sunday night which was a bonus and the windows in the restaurant upstairs for breakfast and downstairs at night give beautiful views of of the boats on the water and city ,although we did miss the fireworks this year which you can see from the hotel.Swimming pool was lovely spacious enough and warm .I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel in waterford city .only a few negatives which could make this hotel even better is there is. no spa. I had it go somewhere else for massage and facial ,no kids club ,they did have one two years ago but no longer provides this service .Also just a caution about the hotel doors not closing over properly when leave room ,on several occasions return to room and door still open and lucky nothing was taken. but my daughter said she noticed it too when walking through corridors that lots of rooms with their doors left open !! overall fantastic modern hotel with great location good with a friendly and great atmosphere pricing great service of good food and drink 😊

Just back from a family break at the Tower Hotel. All the staff are so friendly & professional and masked at all times, (Shout out to Tracey at reception & Johnny in the restaurant who go above and beyond). The many sanitizing stations in the hotel, the spotlessly clean rooms with crisp bed linens & fluffy white towels and the staffs attention to cleaning protocols made us feel so relaxed. The food in the restaurant was hot, fresh & delicious. I would only hope that the owners recognise the truly great staff they have and the asset they are...maybe hiring a few more staff would help as they are rushed off their feet. Can't wait to get to visit again...Thank you again for a much needed break.

Attended club function with over 320 people...from the pleasant ladies on reception to the most junior waiting staff , everyone was so pleasant and helpful and a credit to Manager Seamus O'Carroll. Our room overlooked the river and was just fabulous. The food at dinner was served very efficiently and tasted lovely. The vegetarian option received particular praise. The decoration of the function room itself was amazing. Breakfast was a self service buffet and was lovely and fresh. This hotel is newly refurbished to a superb standard....if you have not visited for some time(like me) you will be very pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to a return visit already.

Attended a function at the Tower Hotel recently, and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Their were three cubicles in the toilet area. The first had no lock on the door, the second was hanging from the door. The toilet roll holders were hanging from the walls, the rolls themselves were thrown up on the shelf at the back of the toilet. I can safely say I have been in the Tower Hotel at different times over the last 45 years and these were the worst that I have ever seen. .?????

I had booked the Tower hotel for a Family group of nine with partners for a roundy birthday celebration and it was five star service from the first call of booking. Nothing was too much trouble for Aine, Caroline and all the wonderful staff and made the whole weekend stay so enjoyable. We had booked a suite for the birthday boy and used it to host the family for drinks reception before dinner and the staff ran around to ensure the balloons were in place, glasses were laid out on table in room, there were icebuckets and ice for drinks provided and we had a panoramic balcony view of Waterford city which had just come alive for Winterville. The rooms were spotless and had absolutely everything we needed. Caroline accommodated putting us all on the one floor which was great and everyone had a water view from their room on the fourth floor. When my Chromecast let me down and we were unable to show our video slide show of the birthday boy, the staff ran around and provided a laptop and HDMI cable to ensure the show went on. It was responses to incidents like this that made us feel like we were getting the five star treatment. When we came back with excess food from the birthday dinner, they put everything labelled in bags in the cool room for us overnight and then divided up the birthday cake in sections and wrapped individually in tinfoil - they volunteered this and had been doing it for other guests as well that morning. We used the sauna and swimming pool each morning (the gym was there if we wanted it!) and really enjoyed interactions with other patrons, we were blown away by the friendliness of everyone! Breakfast was buffet and they accomodated my vegetarian request with a bespoke hot breakfast which was really appreciated. The hotel was at capacity and really busy because of the Winterville but it did not affect the service we received. The hotel also accomodated a photographer we had booked and gave us free use of their function room to have our photos taken uninterrupted. The location of the hotel is walking distance to everything and close to the Waterford Crystal Museum, Time Museum (really worth a visit and a surprising find) and Silver Museum and there was live music in all the pubs within a 2 minute walk. We can't say enough great things about the staff of this hotel, they really make it a special experience and somewhere you look forward to going back to. Keep up the great work.

Just returned from a two night dine and stay deal in the Tower Hotel. The Hotel itself is modern and clean, with great views of the waterfront from the bar and restaurant. The bedrooms are large and airy and although on a main busy road there was no sound from the traffic below. The staff were very friendly and extremely professional. The food in the restaurant was of a very high quality and also the food in the bar was very tasty. All the covid 19 measures are being adhered to and more so you feel safe, it spotless and yet you can still enjoy yourself and its great to get away. If you are staying in Waterford I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Have just returned from a 4 night break in the Tower Hotel. Firstly I am not in agreement with a previous review whereby it stated the corridors smelled of damp! The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout including carpets. Very reassuring to see hand sanitisers on all tables in reception, bar and breakfast room together with sanitising stations at entrances/exits. All staff were so pleasant and helpful from the managers/receptionists/bar staff to the younger members of staff serving breakfast nothing was too much bother. Our triple room was modern and large with good bedding and towels and very clean throughout. A great base while enjoying all that Waterford has to offer. We will happily recommend this hotel to others. Irish hospitality at its best.

Stayed here for two nights with my wife and almost 2 year old. Hotel was fine, could do with a clean and swimming pool was nice. The rooms were ok the shower was the highlight. That's about it. Food was less than average. We didn't even get offered a kids menu for our 2 year old until the 2nd night for dinner. The lunch menu and dinner menu are the same even though one says lunch and the other says dinner. For the room we asked for a travel cot but it didn't come with a mattress. So we rang and asked for one and a lady came up with a quilt and said they don't have a mattress. If our son was a baby we would have had to leave because the quilt is not breathable and would have been very dangerous for a baby. The air conditioning didn't work either. Reception staff were nice to deal with. Most bar staff was pleasant especially the girl that looked after us the second night. The biggest issue i felt was the cleanliness in the restaurant. For example our son had a highchair for lunch and then for dinner he got the same highchair but it still had the same crumbs on it from his lunch. So no one cleaned it at all. It was filthy. Even looking underneath there was dirt on it from what looked like a long time ago. All in all we paid 120 per night which was probably 20 euro too much for what is offered. For food go somewhere else.

Dear Paul C, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, I am disappointed to read your review, we receive a lot of praise on this site, regarding cleanliness and our food offerings. Apologies for the issue you encountered with the highchair this should not of happened & for the inconvenience with the travel cot provided, we have updated our stock and mattresses are available for our "tiny tower guests". Guest feedback is extremely important to us, we will take your experience on board and I will ensure to share with the team. Hope to get the chance to welcome you back again to the Tower, Kind Regards Michael O'Neill Operations Manager

Stayed overnight at the hotel, service excellent throughout, from booking phone call to checkout, but a special mention deserved to the waiting staff in the restaurant who couldn't be more attentive during dinner and breakfast, especially one chap with bleached hair who's name escapes me. Hotel was spotless. Social distancing encouraged, staff wore masks. Hand sanitiser stations were placed in all locations. Food excellent. Will definitely return. Ideal city centre location.

Hi you can walk to city centre and shops in less than 10 minutes. Or turn left when you come out of main entrance to hotel and you will be at Tesco, and TK MAX in same time. There are also shopping centers on edge of the city all accessible by bus but depending in how long u have the city centre will have most of what you want. Also plenty good restaurants in city centre. Martin
