Stayed just one night as a birthday treat-The room was very small i suspect it was a single room with a double bed but for 50 euro B+B i wont complain - I really wanted to write this review just to comment on the customer service it was excellent from the reception to the restraunt to the bar were friendly, polite and willing to help - even the girl busy hoovering the stairs greeted us on our way down- All that and the lovely views will ensure our return but i would like a bigger room next time

We stayed in a double room which was awful. Room was beside the lift and could hear the lifts going up and down. When i rang reception to complain the receptionist told me that after 11pm the lifts wouldn't be going and on a Sunday night in January they had no other double rooms available, which i find hard to believe. The shower didn't work properly, the curtain rail was hanging down. Room was too hot and when you opened the window you could hear the extractors from the back of the hotel.

Never slept a wink while on my stay here! between traffic on the road, boats, xmas parties and loud music this hotel had lost it all.
The room decour is appalling and needs a whole revamp. The bathroom had disgusting yellow stains around the bath. Just stay clear this is a hotel with great potential and need a cash injection and stylist badly!

I just brought my parents away for a treat for their 40th wedding anniversary. I initially picked the Tower hotel because of its central location and amenities. We stayed for two weekend nights which included dinner and breakfast both days, to be honest I wished we could have stayed for longer. I have to say all of us had a very relaxing stay and the rooms were large and nicely appointed. There was no delay at check in/check out. The staff were relaxed, professional and were genuinely friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic meal on the Saturday night. The hotel on learning of my parents anniversary even gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne which was a delightful surprise. I travel quite a lot both in Ireland and Europe and I was concerned when booking the package because sometimes hotel restaurants can be bland but not so here. The quality of food was excellent and the service was as good if not better than any restaurant I have been in before.

There was music in the bar both nights, it was lively and good craic, later on people were up dancing and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The breakfast both days were lovely with a huge choice and an added bonus they served later than the usual 10am. There was a slight delay in getting into the breakfast room the second morning as the hotel was full but no more than five minutes and the staff were very apologetic. Once inside though there was a huge choice and everything was hot and ready. I have to say the staff were very relaxed and extremely helpful even though the hotel was very busy.

There is also a fully equipped up to date gym and weights room with a swimming pool/sauna area as well which I used both days. Everything was new, clean and not too busy which can be the case in some places.
Also on the Saturday some of the group used the spa and they were very complimentary of the setting and the staff. They both had massages which they really enjoyed.

The rooms we had were modern and extremely clean. Sometimes the little things make the difference and the complimentary paper, bottles of water and chocolate were a nice touch.
Even though the hotel is extremely reasonable it has excellent amenities, great service, free parking with a city center location. Based on this weekend I can't see this hotel staying 3* for long.
We would definitely recommend staying at the Tower to friends and family.

The hotel facilities were excellent as were the food and the staff. The room itself was standard but very clean and plenty of information about the hotel and the city provided.
The only thing I could fault about this hotel was the location of a nightclub across the road and car parking facilities.
If you want a quiet weekend I probably wouldnt go there. However, if you want to party into the wee hours, its a very good spot.

Just back from a mid-week break at this hotel and,all in all, we had a great time. Hotel was great value and the staff could not have been more helpful. Minor problem in the bedroom which was quickly resolved by the action of the receptionist. Hope to visit again

Please do not stay in this hotel - we spent 2 awful nights here. Tiny rooms which were clearly intended as single - 1 chair, 1 shampoo and yet they they sold them as doubles at €120 a night. The bed was barely 4 ft wide so 2 adults could not fit. Rip-off Ireland is alive and well in Waterford. To get into the 'cupboard' of a bathroom you have to navigate around the door. The noise from the traffic was awful and continued all through the night. Alot of people from the group complained to management but they were not at all helpful. I cannot believe this place is advertised as four star!!
