It is a tranquil place, characterised by narrow streets, historic architecture, atmospheric public spaces and unique cultural and heritage attractions. Wander through Waterford Viking Triangle, visit the home of the global brand that is Waterford Crystal, nine national monuments including a 13th century underground wine vault, three world class museums (Viking, Medieval and Georgian) as well as an array of craft studios, cafes and excellent gift shops. Over 1,000 years of history unfold in just 1,000 paces in this compact and authentically charming location.

“Watching vikings at work”
Reviewed 2 December 2013

We walked a lot in the Viking Triangle and it was Winterval, so we could watch a re-enactment of life in a viking village right behind Reginald's Tower.
Besides that we really enjoyed historic Waterford and will be back for more

“waterford triangle”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Waterford City is set on the River - plenty of parking right along the Quay. The 'Triangle is made up of Reginald's Tower.City Hall.Museum and Waterford Crystal show centre. All within short walking distance of each other/ no more than 5 mins. Then it is up to the shopping area - via the quay with restaurants/pubs serving foodcoffee shops / variety of shops.
From end of November through to the end of December is 'Winterval' - a lovely time with 'ice-rink' train going around the streets/ market shops etc There are many Hotels catering for everyones needs.

“Jingle Jangle”
Reviewed 26 October 2013

Three places worth a visit in the Triangle are ''The Bishop's Palace'', ''The Medieval Museum'' and ''Reginald's Tower''. The cost to visit is very reasonable and all are within easy walking distance. I have given these attractions an average rating because there is not enough content displayed but having said that they all deserve credit for the effort put in. I imagine it will only get better as excavations are still in operation around the Waterford area and more and more historical items are being found. The Museum and Reginald's Tower have both got good visual screen presentations at the end of each tour that describes the history of the Waterford area in great detail. All worth a visit and I am sure will continue to improve.

“All that culture in a small triangle”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

Two museums, the Cathedral, Waterford Crystal, Reginald's Tower - all within a 3 minute walk of each other. Couldn't be easier to get your culture shot in Waterford. Waterford City Council are doing a great job with all these venues and the area in general.
