The Waterford Museum of Treasures is a ‘must see’ for anyone visiting Waterford. The grouping in one area of the Bishop’s Palace, Christ Church Cathedral, the Medieval Museum and the Theatre Royal is a stroke of brilliance. At the Medieval Museum the guided tour, featuring the amazing history of the city of Waterford, is told vividly and enthusiastically. But a ‘must-do’ is the fine Georgian Bishop’s Palace and we urge everyone to meet Mrs Rickards herself and hear her story. At the Palace there is also a fascinating display of events that took place during the 20th century with a sprinkling of entertainment history that includes the Hucklebuck Hero’s white shoes.
