“Not only to pray”
Reviewed 3 December 2013

Interesting history, lots of things to see, and plenty to read and use to post. Great acoustics when there is a music event or concert, and a really warm welcome to people of all denominations and persuasions.

“Cold Cathedral”
Reviewed 26 October 2013

It is a pity to see a treasure like this look so cold and bare due to lack of funding and credit to the unseen people that work hard behind the scenes to keep it afloat. This cathedral is full of interesting history and has tombs dating back to the 14th century. One in particular has a sculptured cadaver which depicts the buried Knight's decomposing body and is well worth viewing. All around the Church are plaques and memorials in honour of past contributors and fallen heroes that keep our history alive. Do volunteer to contribute on your exit from the building as every little bit helps to retain our past and maintain this real piece of it.

“A beautiful place”
Reviewed 29 September 2013

This Church of Ireland cathedral is a beautiful eighteenth century building, with a calm, spiritual feeling to match its history. The staff are helpful and attentive, and if you go to a service you'll find a robe choir and good church music.

“beautiful”
Reviewed 28 July 2013

the town of Waterford was so-so; we much preferred touring the town of Yougal (nearby and much nicer). The Christ Church cathedral was beautiful and about the only real "site" in Waterford.

“Wren-style cathedral”
Reviewed 24 July 2013

The Anglican cathedral was very bare and not very exciting to visit. A few medieval or older artefacts and tombs, but mainly a georgian cathedral. Interesting display of the old catherdral knocked down to enable this one to be built. Would have preferred them to leave the medieval one, frankly.
