“100 % Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

This b & b is a real gem. Beautiful location with a lovely owner who is only to keen to make you feel welcome and at home.Have to say it's an adventure to find but that's part of the fun.Breakfast was awesome and really set us up for a day exploring the local sights. If you ask Olive nicely she will even share her morning walk route with you.Took us a bit over an hour to walk a lovely 7 klms of Irish countryside, a great way to start the day! Finally, being from Australia we found having the free wifi sensational as we could keep in touch with family and check on the footy scores. Speaking of scores......I score this place 10 out of 10......do your self a favor and come visit Olive....You won't regret it !!!!!

On June 22, 2014, our party of 10 American tourists and three local guests had the pleasure of a truly delicious dinner prepared by Olive and her staff. We could not have been treated better and we then enjoyed a short walk to the pub to check all the action of the World Cup. Our rooms were superb and the presentation of the breakfast was second to none.

Anyone traveling in the Tipperary or Waterford area should do themselves a favor and make plans to visit this beautiful spot and enjoy the true Irish hospitality that comes so easily to Olive and her staff.

Very comfortable large rooms in a lovely quiet location ( but still easy to find ) are just the start of this wonderful place. We stayed for 4 days !
The breakfast is outstanding with super home baking and healthy fresh options as well as imaginative cooked dishes beautifully presented.
BUT what makes the place is Olive and her team. Genuinely it would be hard to imagine a better hostess. Charming , helpful, friendly , knowledgeable and one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Recommended without any reservation.

Enchanting Luxurious B&B with a stunning view on the Irish countryside.
We spent 3 days at Glasha Farmhouse B&B.
Olive was very friendly and received us with a warm welcome including coffee and biscuits and gave us lots of information about how and what to visit as well
Very good location as starting point visiting Waterford, Cork Kilkenny and Limerick
Small Village of Ballymacarbry is few km far away by car and a small Pub with a lovely garden open on a river is only 3 mins walk.
Her breakfast was excellent and abundant served into a bright patio
Room has a lovely view on the garden with a maxi king size bed.
We can definetely recommend Glasha farmhouse to other guest.

We arrived at Glasha for a one night stay, and ended up there for 3 nights! Olive, Jacinta and Delores were truly wonderful! The entire house and property were truly beautiful. The room was clean, nicely decorated and full of amenities. The breakfasts were not only delicious, but presented so beautifully we took many photographs before devouring them. We also had a marvelous steak dinner at Glasha that would rival any fine restaurant. We will go back!

Room Tip: Order the scrambled eggs wrapped in smoked salmon for breakfast.

We have just returned from a weekend break which was most relaxing and enjoyable. The accommodation was excellent. The quality and presentation of the breakfast, dinner and table layout was way above the norm. The variety of the fruits, juices, home made scones and cereals along with the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The porridge was just something else. Dinner was also of the same standard. It was really was what the brochure said " 5 STAR QUALITY". Just a word about the owner Olive, From the time we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and she made us most welcome during our stay. Beside her wonderful home cooking she planned our driving trips through the local mountains which was in full bloom with Rhododendrons. At the end of our stay you have to say we have made a new friend with Olive and will return again. We strongly recommend this Farmhouse to all and in particular to our foreign visitors to take time to make part of their stay here. This is a remote and beautiful part of our Country. Olive, thanks you. Betty and Eddie McEvoy Dublin.

Room Tip: I think you could phone and speak to Olive

I have just spent several days touring Ireland on a motorbike and stumbled across Glasha Farmhouse purely by chance. On arrival I was shown to the room and can honestly the first thing I did was take a few photo's as I was amazed with it all. Olive the owner was out at the time but her daughter produced some coffee and home made cake which was very much appreciated. I sat down and had a chat with Olive later on and more cake and coffee apperared. Olive is a genuine person who will take time out to listen to your tales of woe. Breakfast was freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh fruit with youghurt, followed by home made porridge and stewed apples, then followed by bacon and eggs etc with all the trimmings. The presentation and delivery of all the food at breakfast was 1st class. I'm hoping to take my wife to Ireland in September and will make this my first place of call and possibly stay for a couple of nights. If you want somewhere to chill out for a couple of days with quality accomadation and food, this is the place to stay - if you want your run of the mill B and B then I suggest you go elsewhere ( I can suggest a few if you are interested ) . To mark Glasha Farmhouse 10 out 10 would in my opinion be an insult, I can assure you it would get a lot higher score from me. Regards - Gary

Room Tip: I was in room 6 which is downstairs looking out to the front door, I didnt hear anyway come or go. A...
