Stayed one night but was very impressed. Don't usually write reviews but felt this was worth it. First impressions great location, lovely interior. Nice clean comfortable rooms. Staff helpful and pleasant. Good quality standards and value for money. Keep it up. Thanks Declan and Edel.

This is one fantastic little hotel, my title (not 4*) is not a reflection of the staff or its services but i can only judge the hotel on my room and the room was only fair, i would rate it a good 3* room, the room was starting to show wear and tear, carpet was stained and roof had bad marks on it, its didnt spoil my stay or anything, i just expected if its 4* then it would be pristine!!

Arrived at 4.30pm and got the last spot in car park, my friend wasnt so luck and she had to park on street, hotels with car parks in city are quiet rare anyway so was not an issue but it might be for some people. As i was here for 1 night for a friends birthday i asked on check in for champagne flutes and ice bucket and within 5 mins of getting into room they sent it up. We got a great deal on 1 night B&B for 70euro for 2 of us and wine and dine offer at restaurant, 5 courses and wine for 59euro. The food was really nice and the staff were just lovely. Has a few drinks in the bar, cocktails were great but i was pee'd off that they ran out of mint as i was craving a mojito all evening at dinner but these things happen.

We had breakfast next morning, everything was lovely, the fruit, the buffet with all the works(sausage, egg, mushrooms etc) and lovely pastries(which one of the staff even heated up for me) again, cant fault the food or the staff. Check out was quick and easy.

I have no problems recommending this hotel, the room was nice, the food great and the staff excellent, if you can pick up a bargain then you couldnt go far wrong by staying here, just dont get hung up on the 4* rating :)

My boyfriend & I stayed here on a City Deal, which included a bottle of wine on arrival, a back massage each, breakfast & a late check out. I thought this was amazing value.
I found the staff to be very friendly & accommodating from the outset. The hotel is in a very central location & just over the bridge from the train & bus station.
There was a bottle of wine in our room on arrival which was a bit warm but I rang reception to request a bucket of ice which was brought up straight away.
We didn't eat at the hotel apart from breakfast so I can't comment on that, but the breakfast was good, pretty standard.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & I would highly recommend this hotel.

Third stay here and excellent once more. There is some noise from the street but we had none in our room on any of our stays.
Secure parking on site is a bonus.
It is a short walk to the river, restuarants and shops.
It is easy to travel to many surrounding towns and a simple drive, of under an hour, from the ferry at Roslaire.
Rooms are modern and above average size for hotels. Everwhere was clean and there were plenty of towels and toiletries. Heating and cooling worked fine.
Breakfast was buffet full Irish with plenty for the healthier eating vegetarian. Dinner last year was good value and good food but this year we fancied an Indian on our one night in Waterford.
Prices were about the same as in other similar hotels in which we have stayed in Kerry and Wexford. We will be back.

I recently purchased the city deal of a night's bnb, bottle of wine and a 20 min back massage deal. The wine was lovely, as was the breakfast. However, I was disappointed by the room which was quite musty smelling (room308) and the 20 min massage consisted of 8minutes of a back rub. My skin felt horribly greasy afterwards, while leaving 'the beauty room' I noticed the empty bottle of baby oil with a euro city sticker on it. The deal is good value, but for I would advise avoided the back massage or complaining about the lack of professionalism provided.

Just back from a most pleasant stay in the Fitzwilton. From start to finish staff impressed with their friendly, professional and helpful approach. Food was delicious, fresh and tastefully presented and definitely no shortage! The car park was an added bonus, clearly marked and not hard to negotiate with care. Our rooms were clean, spacious and had all 4 star comforts. Bathrooms were spotless with lots of towels and adequate toiletries. Close to shops and tourist sites the hotel was also ideally located for accessing routes to neighbouring towns and tourist trails. No hesitation in recommending it ! Can't understand negative reviews. We look forward to a return visit. Thanks to a wonderful staff !

Cant believe the bad reviews posted on here about this hotel!!! I have just returned from an excellent stay here!! Lovely room, great food and bar was excellent!! The staff were so nice and helpfull especially Michael in the bar, Damiel night porter, and the girls on reception!! everyone was so polite and nothing was to much trouble! The hotel is only a short stroll to the main part of the city center and from what i saw there it is certainly the most modern and stylish hotel there. Had a lovely meal in Chez K and again excellent service and food!! i really dont know were the people who posted bad revievs were staying because it certainly wasnt this hotel its great and I shall be back well done guys!!!!
