I stayed at The Legacy Botleigh Grange for the second year running this spring and the staff are very nice and helpful indeed. From the Manager down, nothing is too much trouble and all requests in relation to our function were dealt with promptly. The food was very good, and there were some decent Old World wines on the wine list which is to be applauded. The bedrooms are comfortable, and although the decor is a little tired, the reception and bar areas have charm and individuality. The garden setting is delightful and the grounds are very well tended.

Hi my husband and I stayed here and I must admit looking on here I was very worried about staying but as I had already booked it it was tuff and we were just going to have to get on with it! Well the hotel was very clean and staff were very lovely and helpful yes it's a little dated but as we had bought it on an offer we didn't really expect that much but honestly loved it the rooms we're very clean and beds comfy so wot more can u ask for and the food was wonderful. The only down side I would have to moan about on here is the staff at the spa not at all friendly or helpful so I was glad when they said they cudnt fit us in!! The hotel had a wedding on which u wud think we would of been pushed to the side a little but def not it was fab and I would def stay again. Amanda miller

Booked through Groupon. Old structure therefore noisy bedrooms (bad for sleep), shower did not work but we were kindly compensated by the manager wiping our xtra food drinks bill off, spa is nice but book in advance, food isn't great, mattresses need replacing, BUT great manor park reserve for walks nearby, really recommended. Recommended for one visit only.

We chose the Botleigh Grange for our wedding and reception after having considered many other venues in the area. The two things which attracted us were the beautiful grounds with wooded walk, lake, etc., and the helpful friendly staff we encountered. The day itself went smoothly under the direction of a calm and efficient events manager. All our guests commented on the excellent service from the staff - along with plenty of smiles- which complemented the day. The food was well cooked and attractively presented and in ample portions. The rooms we and our guests stayed in were quite large with adequate space and tastfully decorated, bearing in mind that this is an older building, not a modern hotel. However, this did not detract from our time spent there. The bar staff were attentive and food purchased there was good.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and teenage son in a family room, the rate was ok which included breakfast, however the room although clean, was very tired especially the bathroom which desperately needed refurbishing. Due to some confusion when booking we ate in the bar, this was ok and reasonably priced. there was a good choice for breakfast, but the plates were cold and the full english warm at best.
this hotel could be so much better with some investment, it has a good location, is spacious and quiet

We went mainly to use the spa facilities but were extremely disappointed. Staff we busy chatting and we felt we couldn't interrupt to ask questions. In the spa, we were told we couldn't have gowns or the slippers provided in every other spa I have ever visited as we were there for a special offer and had paid a reduced price as a result. I had not realised this would also mean we experienced a reduction in price. We weren't shown round, just pointed vaguely toward the changing rooms. I am pregnant but was not told anything about facilities I should and shouldn't use - basic lack of care. Go somewhere else would be our recommendation!

We chose Botleigh Grange for a relaxing break from London because of the idyllic setting and the spa facilities. Our two night stay was made very enjoyable by the fantastic service provided by the staff. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful in meeting my daughter's dietary needs as she is vegan (no meat, fish, eggs, dairy). Nothing was too much trouble and everyone always had a friendly face. The most delicious soups ever tasted at dinner!!! The friendliness of the staff really made a difference to our stay and enabled us to truly relax in the wonderful setting of the hotel. We really enjoyed our hot stone massages in the spa and the swimming pool looking over the bluebell woods was truly amazing!.
