Beautiful situated. Overlooking Waterford Harbour and Duncannon Beach. The tour is not really impressing, but the guide was excellent. Nice tearoom

“Worth a tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2014

Went for a look round as my brother was interested in seeing it. Very informative guide ( not really worth going if you don't have the guided tour as you can't go into the towers or behind the many gates ). Nice cafe with snacks and drinks, good parking and probably easy to manage if you are in a wheelchair.

“It's on the way to being very very good.”

We've been to Duncannon Fort a number of times but this was the first time it was open! We had the tour & it was brilliant , the guides were informative & friendly & good value all round. There have been comments about not being open ,here I have to agree, our excellent tour finished around 1.45pm & guess what? the Café was closing as we walked up to the door, I accept it was at the end of the season but the weather was good & a number of people were around, the welcome sign indicated the Café to be open. OK this is Ireland!
