On a recent trip through Ireland ,we stopped at the Kennedy Homestead.
The current owner(5th Generation Kennedy ?) conducted the tour.He was very good explaining the history of the family.
The Museum build by the Irish Government is stacked with actual memorabilia, including JFK's Rosary beads and CiC Dog-tags.
The remainder of the property is an working farm raising cattle.
Stop by,Time well spend!

This place is well worth a visit, I loved the replica sitting room, They have some incredible momentos here including the Rosary beads he had in his pocket when he was shot and his dog tags, The staff were incredibly friendly. It was lovely to sit quietly outside and to imagine JFK himself being there.

This museum is not just about JFK. It celebrates the Kennedy family legacy on both sides of the Atlantic. With excellent displays, audio material and Kennedy memorabilia, it provides an insight into an Irish family and a pivotal decision made in 1848. Good cafe on sight too.

We had no idea how good this would be, and we recommend it greatly. However, a little tricky to find. The story of JFK's visit here is touching, and we got a real sense of how strong his Irish roots were. We had a chance to meet and converse with the Kennedy who is currently living in and farming at this location.
