I spent a night here before catching a ferry, and it was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room with balcony, and good wifi. It was also excellent value, including a good full Irish breakfast. It is only a couple of minutes from the ferry port, and you can see the ferries coming and going so you know when to head for the port.
Ok, so the TV only has Irish channels, and I didn't seem able to get hot water in the morning, but for an overnight stay close to the port I think this is hard to beat.

Dear diverdoc,

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on Trip Advisor. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that you had the opportunity to stay in one of our sea facing rooms with private balcony. Our fantastic location in Rosslare Harbour makes us the ideal stop for those travelling on the ferry.

Due to lower occupancy levels at this time of the year, hot water may take a little longer to reach some of our rooms and leaving the tap run a little longer would have rectified this - we appreciate the you were unaware of this and we have taken steps to address this by making all our future guests aware of this on arrival. We are aware that guests are anxious not to miss their ferry, however we start breakfast at 7am to allow plenty of time for ferry users and also we are only a 2 minute drive away from the Ferry Terminal.

We sincerely hope to welcome you back to the Hotel in the future to experience this for yourself.

Yours sincerely

On the 12th of September we stayed for two days at this lovely hotel. It would be impossible not to notice the care that is taken to make this a very special place. It is sparklingly clean it just gleams and from the time of our arrival until our departure we felt very happy to be there. Our lovely room overlooked the harbour where we enjoyed watching the ferries arrive and depart. The room was very comfortable and extremely well kept. The friendly staff at breakfast and the lovely view from the restaurant helped to make our stay perfect. Congratulations everyone and thank you all for making our stay so pleasant. I actually haven't posted a TripAdvisor review in ages but felt I needed to this time.

It was quite clear from reading TripAdvisor that this hotel has turned a corner this year and with needing to spend a night in Rosslare on business in mid-September I thought I'd give them a try.

The price for dinner, bed and breakfast was excellent - came out around 100 Euro.

The menu isn't adventurous but the food is of a good quality and tasty.

My room was quite lovely though the bathroom (although clean) looked a bit dated.

The staff were excellent too.

If you need a night in a hotel before or after catching a ferry from Rosslare you'd be mad to bypass this hotel. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the slightly tired bathroom.

We had dinner in the restaurant at the start and end of our recent holiday in the west of Ireland. The bar was noisy, crowded and dingy; however, the restaurant is quieter, very smart and has great views over the beach and harbour and one can watch the 2 evening ferry departures. On the Sunday evening in the bar there was a dreadful singer, playing double bass and singing along to backing tracks. The noise was quite loud in the restaurant but fortunately it finished early.

Service was prompt, friendly and courteous though one of the waiters was a little forgetful. We had the 3-course set menu @ €22.95 each time. The food came quickly and was good. The vegetable portions were rather small but adequate. Of particular note was the haddock which was a very nice fillet in a lovely sauce with prawns. The chicken dish was also very good.

Wines are not cheap and there is very little choice, surprising for an establishment of this sort. However, the Chilean Sauvignon Blanc was excellent and properly chilled. The waiter forgot to charge this on the bill but we pointed out his mistake and a new bill was quickly provided.

Though not stylish, the restaurant is competent and a pleasant place to eat and we felt the set menu was reasonable value.

We recently spent a weekend in Rosslare, staying at the Rosslare Hotel. We booked mainly for its location which is on a clifftop overlooking the harbour, giving a wonderful view of the ferries leaving and returning from Wales and France.
We were not disappointed, although we had read some unfavourable reviews about this hotel.
The location is perfect and if you like reading a book with fabulous views of the Irish sea and the ferries departing and returning, you will love Rosslare Hotel.
The staff were great, very professional but also managing to create a very laid-back,easy-going atmosphere.
The guests were of all ages from young families with kids to retirees on a weekend break.
The bar food is very good, both fish and steaks were delicious. We spent time walking the clifftop path(it goes on for 38 miles!!),enjoying the wonderful Rosslare Strand and shopping in Wexford.
We were told that a lot of work has been done on the hotel and this shows.
A final word of thanks to the Chef(s) as the food was great and very reasonably priced.
All-in-all a great hotel for a holiday/weekend break or to rest up before or after a ferry crossing!!

Happened upon this place whilst doing one night at the Old Court House B&B.
Positives -
Good Views from the bar.
Bar food was good, in fact much better than expected.
Comfortable.
The usual Irish line-up of drinks (lager, lager and the black stuff) were well served. Wine in the small bottles was fine.

Negatives –
They had a band playing that was good, but not at the right sound level for the size of the bar, especially at 19:00!!

Key Learning’s –
You could have your bar food in the main dining hall away from the bar if you wanted.
Great place if you can’t be bothered to drive a mile or so to the next food/bar establishment.
The Fish and Chip shop at the front of the hotel was very popular.
