My husband and I paid a brief visit to Kilmore Quay recently. We stayed at Mill Farm Guesthouse. We really enjoyed our stay. we had a lovely room on ground floor overlooking the sea. Room was spotless. This is a working farm which added to it's charm. We were delighted to see that breakfast was served at a communal table. This is something that my husband and I are always recommending. Would recommend this place.

Phil and Greg were wonderful hosts. We shared a drink with them one night and learnt a lot about their farm life and family. We watched the cows being milked and had a wander around the farm. Phil was very accommodating in letting us use one of
the washing machines in their self contained cottages and used their clothes line. We met some of their family. Beautiful grandson. I would recommend the stay to anyone .

This was a very enjoyable visit, for the 6 of us. We all arrived in one vehicle, and nothing was too much, trouble for Phil & Greg.
We were able to have a look at the working farm.
Highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Philomena and Gregg were terrific hosts and made us feel very welcome when we arrived. The Irish breakfast was delicious and very generous......great to get us to about 2:00 p.m. each day when we just needed a coffee and pie until dinner. Our room and bath were both very nice and absolutely spotless!! Gregg let us see the horses including the 14 day old foal and his mother. We also got to see the dairy cows and that part of the working farm. The location is great for driving to Hook lighthouse and Wexford County. Phil and Gregg were very helpful with suggestions for site seeing, places for dinner and general directions. Our favorite spot to eat was Mary Barry's Pub just minutes up the road. Excellent seafood for a great price. The only thing I would improve would be the quality of the mattresses. We would definitely recommend this property!

The Mill Road Farm B&B is a wonderful place to stay, We stayed here last year as well and when we return to Kilmore Quay I would stay here again. Philomena is a wonderful hostess and makes a great irish breakfast!!! The rooms are very clean, we had a good size bathroom with plenty of hot water. Her husband gave us a tour of the farm (they have over 130 acres!) and showed us his horses, won had just won a race in England, he was so proud to show us the horse. Kilmore Quay is a very small village but a great place to stay. We at at Mary Barry's which has delicious food. They also offer a free shuttle service which came and picked us up at the B&B and brought us back. The breakfast in the morning is fabulous!! No one walks away hungry. The "full irish" is with three bacon & three sausages, I had the scambled egges with salmon on the side, to die for!!!! The brown bread was home baked and wonderful. The garden in the front yard is beautiful. I would recommend staying at the Mill Road Farm if you stay in Kilmore Quay. thanks for a great stay!
