Whenever we get to Ireland we always try to get here for a meal. The food is excellent and service superb. The owner is a great host. You're made to feel welcome and engaged with without it feeling intrusive. Have to say the seafood chowder starter is amazing and a meal in itself when it's served in the freshly baked bread "bowl". Did the usual thing of regretting not ordering the specials they have when I saw them - crab claws, long prawns and scallops tossed in their own chilli oil. My wife had steak and it was perfectly cooked but it's fish all the way for me. If you love fish and seafood it's well worth a trip to Kilmore Quay just for this restaurant. That said, it's a great fishing village to visit anyway with a harbour that often has a seal swimming around in it and a couple of great beaches.
