“Nice friendly hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2014 via mobile

I stayed in whites hotel for 2 nights bed and breakfast with my husband and 15 year old daughter it was 265 which is not bad . We had dinner in the main restaurant on the first night and the service was very good and the girl who served us was so smiley .The second night we had dinner in the bar it was lovely too but service very slow .Rooms were very clean and comfy . My only complaint was the service in the bar both nights was so so slow I nearly died of thirst ;) one barman and I think he was half asleep ;) I did not mind paying 6€ for the car park as the hotel is so central . We went to the Heritage Park on the second day with vouchers the hotel gave us on arrival is was a brilliant experience would recommend it to anyone if you visit wexford . All in all I had a lovely weekend and would definitely go back.

Firstly my friends got married here in a civil partnership on the thursday.

They had reserved rooms, when I rang to book one they had never heard of them. Hence I had to book separately of the special rate. I was put in a tiny basement room. Stank of smoke, twin beds, while my friend had nice rooms upstairs. Dirty bathroom, over priced ++++

Reception were rude.

I have never heard of a 4pm check in ever.......by the time I got into the room I was so tired and had to unpack, sleep, go meet the wedding party, there was no time for complaining.

Wish I had just booked the B+B over the road.

I must and will say that the bar staff were lovely!

Just returned from a long awaited trip to Whites of Wexford feeling pretty disappointed. It was a suprise for my partners birthday and so i booked treatments for the day of arrival. We were not allowed check into our room until 3:45 even though our treatments were booked for 3:30, i did not want to open a suitcase in the middle of the huge lobbie fishing for our swimwear!! This was annoying as we missed half an hour of our time at the amazing thermal suites! The room we got included an extra cost for an upgrade. This was a complete disappointment. We had 2 extra beds and a cot in our room which we had removed and I really dont see where my money went for the upgrade as it looks IDENTICAL to all other rooms we seen?!!
We cannot fault the spa, staff and facilities were top notch!! Amazing time spent here except for the time cut short and with the amount it cost, this has left a sour taste in my mouth!
We treated ourselves to breakfast i bed, this was more expensive than ANY hotel in ireland which usually charges per tray NOT per person!! Thid set me back €9 per morning for ONE TRAY to be delivered to our room! Selection wasfar less for room delivery too!
No wifi in the rooms, this is not acceptable for a hotel of this standard at all! In all the hotels ive stayin in ive never experienced this at all! Same with the paid parking! Ridiculous! All in all, the little extras in addition to the €400 i spent for 2night BNB leaves a bad taste in my mouth and we would not return sadly.

Hotel is very impressive in the lobby and we were looking forward to checking in. On arrival in non smoking room it stank of smoke and there were cigarette butts on the window ledge. House keeping moved us to another room down the corridor but it was shabby and cold. However we were late to meet friends so accepted it. Shower was very poor. Friends had a similar room and theirs was fine so maybe you roll the dice a bit with this hotel. Was disappointed with pool opening times in the morning and the fact that you have to have a swimming cap! Location is good and bar was nice. Staff didn't seemed that fussed about the problems with the rooms.

Stayed here over weekend. Room was a bit pricey at €199 for double room (2 adult , 2 Kids ) but was clean and well appointed. Had food in Bar sat evening as restaurant was full. One of our party ordered a fillet steak which took 1 hour to serve. Two others had haddock dish which was burnt to a crisp. The lovely waitress who I noted was Canadian redeemed the situation by not charging for 1 haddock dish and apologizing with such grace you could not fault the service. The hotel was full so perhaps standards were strained. Breakfast was fine next morning so on the whole a good stay.Staff were all friendly and professional. Leisure center staff were also very helpful and provided a water proof cover to allow my son with broken arm have a swim. This was an initiative taken by a very good staff member.A nice touch which made his day.

My boyfriend and I spent two nights (a Friday and Saturday night) in Whites. From the beginning to end all staff were extremely nice and very helpful.

On the first night we ate in the bar and found the food very tasty, nicely presented, reasonably priced and plenty to fill us up! Breakfast on both mornings was also very good with a nice choice.

We highly recommend the Spa. The thermal suite and treatments will leave you thoroughly relaxed and rejuvenated and again the staff were very professional. One negative was the reclining chairs not in working order-not only one but most of them in the relaxation area-not a major problem but would be nice to have been able to pop the feet up!

Our standard bedroom was clean, comfortable and generally well equipped. The bathroom was of poor design however. It was a wet room style and during use of the shower a lot of the rest of the bathroom got wet including towels as the towel rail was right beside the shower, our personal items on nearby shelving and most of the floor. You would almost need a mop at the end of each shower!!
The hair dryer was attached to the wall in the bathroom and was poor. It looked more like a miniature hoover than a hair dryer. A proper hair dryer in the bedroom would be a much better idea.

The €3 per day charge for parking is also a negative. Paying the price you pay to stay here is enough, parking should definitely be complimentary even if the hotel is extremely central.

It would be nice to see some improvements in small areas in the future but overall we had a very pleasant stay in Whites and would recommend it for others as a central and modern hotel with a good atmosphere and very friendly staff.
