“Perfect pet friendly family friendly getaway gem”
Reviewed 24 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We stayed here for 2 nights at the last minute. The place was spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need. We brought our dog with us and she was very welcome. The children loved exploring in the fresh country air. Plenty to do nearby so we plan on going again for a full week next time.

Hello Sandra, Thank you very much for your review, it is much appreciated.
It will be nice to see you all again.
Also thank you for leaving the house so clean and tidy, we would never have known any body had been in.
Pass on our regards to the family.

“All you need for a cottage break”
Reviewed 26 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed at no.2 which was a lovely 2 bed cottage. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There are separate bath and shower rooms which was great for us as it meant that one of us could bath the children whilst the other showered. The kitchen diner is a very good size and has everything you need for a self-catering stay (microwave, washing machine, dishwasher).

There is a wood burner in the sitting room which made for some cozy evenings in front of the fire although the sofa was perhaps a little uncomfortable.

Richard and Salvia are very friendly and welcoming. They told us everything we needed to know about the local area, where to find shops etc as well as places to visit. They also provided a selection of toys which was wonderful as we couldn't pack too much in the way of entertainment for our 3 yr old!

Richard's directions to the cottage were very clear and needed since the cottage is down lots of country lanes and our Sat Nav signal was not great! You definitely need a car if you are staying here as there was nothing within walking distance for us (we have a 3 yr old and a 3 month old).

You do have to pay extra for wifi access and for the oil you use for heating and hot water.

We had a very pleasant, peaceful stay here and our 3 yr old thoroughly enjoyed chatting the the pigs and chickens.

“Peacful, relaxing break”
Reviewed 19 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Really nice cottage. All mod cons. Home from home. The owners have the perfect balance of being there for you when you need them and hardly noticing that they are a few doors away. It was the perfect break to get away from rat race. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend and will book in again

“Comfortable accommodation in a peaceful location”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 pre-school children and this was a perfect place for us to have a wonderful relaxing week. The kids loved the location as it was safe enough for them to play outside and they loved that there are dogs around - and 2 pot-bellied pigs to visit! Richard and Salvia have a great balance of a warm and friendly welcome without making you aware of their presence, even though they live on site - they are on hand if needed for anything, including excellent local knowledge and tourist advice! It is a 10 minute drive from the main road and, although the directions are very good, it might help to print out a map of the local road system for journeys during your stay as some of the roads around are quite rural. To us that is a plus though as the character of the whole place is great. It is about 15 minutes to New Ross or Enniscorthy and very little more to Wexford town, and not far from a range of great places to visit, so you have the best of both worlds. As for the accommodation itself, we stayed in the farmhouse which was really comfortable and perfect for a family. The other accommodation on site ranges from a small cottage to a bigger house so there is great variety. Overall, we were really pleased and would happily return.

“Beautiful place to stay!!!!!”

I had a fantastic stay in number 1 Ballagh Court, I stayed there for 2 weeks while doing work experience in secret valley wildlife park. The farmhouse was so beautiful and has everything you could possibly need for your stay there. Richard and Salvia are 2 of the nicest people I have met in a long time, they could not do enough for me and Richard even organized for me to go lambing in one of the nearby farms. I ended up staying an extra night in the end because I didn't want to leave and as I was about to leave the next morning Salvia gave me a half dozen fresh eggs from her chickens so I was delighted, I am 100% sure I will be back to stay in Ballagh court in the near future.

Thanks for your hospitality Richard & Salvia

Kind Regards
Sarah

“Fabulous cottages, stunning location, perfect for a relaxing break.”

I stayed at Ballagh Court along with my family (including 2 young children) for the last week in October. I can honestly say what a fantastic place this is. Richard & Salvia who own and manage these cottages were always on hand with help and advice, nothing was too much trouble & they really made us feel welcome.

The cottages were fantastic, clean and homely and very well equipped. The bedrooms were all very spacious, and super comfy! Our 2 young children loved staying on the 'farm', and were eager to watch Salvia feeding the pot bellied pigs and the chickens each day. I fell in love with the dog Maggie who was very friendly and always happy to see us! There is a small play area, which was perfect for letting the kids burn off some energy & to keep them entertained.

The cottages are very rural in location but this only adds to their charm - rustic, rural, & traditional. The towns of Wexford, Waterford & New Ross are all within half an hours reach, and each has their own attractions and facilities worth a visit. We also spent a day in Kilkenny, which was about an hour away - definitely well worth the drive!

If you love peace and quiet, beautiful views and the rustic charm of an Irish farm, this is place for you!
