“Had Higher Expectations”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2010

The house is tired and bathroom was smaller than expected.
We were only there for one night and it was comfortable enough, but it didn't quite live up to the expectation from the web site.
Friendly hosts and breakfast was good.
A younger Irish lady was based there for a week exploring the local area and she seemed happy with the accommodation.
If you were in the area then this would be OK but I would not go out of my way to stay in the area.
And it was acceptable for one night, not the best B&B we stayed in.

This stately Victorian home is quietly tucked away among beautiful gardens just outside of Arklow. The house itself shows a little wear on the inside, but that actually adds to the charm. The owners are a friendly couple who go out of their way to make you feel right at home. Take advantage of the opportunity to tour the gardens, which are meticulously kept and full of unique flora.

Rooms are large and comfortable. They do have the typical tiny B&B showers in them, though.
