Amazing views, rugged landscape. Be careful when driving or underfoot as ground is rocky in places. Awesome :)

Having missed my turn the day before, I took the road to Sally's Gap though it was out of my way. The landscape was nice, but it seemed to go on and on for ages. When we finally reached the sign telling us that we were at Sally's Gap there were cars stopped, leaving no place to pull over and what appeared to be a military convoy of some sort stopped there. So, whatever stunning views might be there were missed by us as we had little choice but to just keep driving.

This is one of the most beautiful scenic drives we have done through the mountains scenery is unbelievable drive right beside a waterfall, land is so barren with streams and forests everywhere. Beautiful!!!

Came here for a drive early one morning recently and the views were fantastic. because it was early on a March morning there was still a slight covering of snow from the previous night. on your map it can be identified as R115. The road is narrow and not much places to pull in except for the few viewing points. However early in a March morning there is not much traffic. I will however be returning here many times from now until next October so will get a feel for how it is during peak tourist season. If your journey brings you anywhere near hear I would recommend it, just to get up to see the wild side of the Wicklow mountains, and do stop and not just drive through
