We called in here on a very wet evening, during the first week in April. Apparently,it was the first evening for the new owners, who had moved in just two days before and we were the very first diners. The menu was unusual. My husband ordered a fish dish, which was a large bowl packed full of different fish and prawns in a delicious sauce. I ordered Welsh lamb with leeks, topped with
mashed potato, which I thoroughly enjoyed.During the short wait for our food, the waitress brought us a fresh home -baked loaf and salted butter, which we tucked into,it was such a nice touch. If we lived locally,we would definitely eat here whenever we could. As tourists to Wales we will surely be back to the Coach and Horses whenever we can.

Two total strangers could not have felt more welcome. I would recommend it as a must for a Welsh game. Excellent hospitality . Thank you

We only had a burger, soup and chips here having walked from Crickhowell along the canal but we got such a friendly greeting that along with the spot on food it made for an excellent lunch stop. There are lots of other choices on the menu.
The canal comes straight alongside the Pub and even in the appalling weather was a relatively dry underfoot towpath walk which apparently continues all the way to Brecon.
The dog was also made more than welcome which made her happy as well!

We arrived in pub to see match ,there was 10 people in TV room ,they were all local there were 3 children who were all bored ,and unable to sit in one place, making it very hard to watch match.NO ONE said a word to us( not normal for wales) .The landlady came into the room still no contact ,at half time 12 hotdogs were put on bar ,at which point 10 were gone in 2min the other 2 were then eaten by fat lady on bar stool. We did not stop to see second half at this place .I have been in pub trade for 25 years ,its hard to get customers but with your attitude Best of luck.

We've visited a couple of times in our motorhome, parking overnight in the car park (please take note other pub landlords). The pub is in a fantastic location right next to the Mon & Brecon canal. The landlady and staff have always been extremely welcoming to us and our dog. On both visits we enjoyed the curry of the day, good food and good value and we will definitely visit again.
