I went to meet Thai friends here to eat on a cold winter's night in February and was lucky to meet a fabulous lady called 'Sorn' the gregarious, generous and vibrant host.
The food was absolutely stunning as well as elegantly presented. What's more the taste really took me back to Thailand and not that kind of watered down to please farang experience, but in a cozy linen decked surroundings. What's more I arrived rather late but the kitchen still rolled in cheery mood.
All-in-all has a fabulous time which could rival those intimate and luxurious dining places more in tune with Greek Street Soho than Ruislip. So it was well worth the trip for this Islington man.
Having read other reviews am not sure what other diners expect or whether their expectations befit the Ivy more appropriately. I love restaurants with tasty food and vibrant hosts who chat, joke and interact in slightly theatrical manner with guests....and for this reason, thank you so much Sorn, you made it a fabulous and memorable occasion.
Stunning food, reasonable prices, bang on service as one might expect from the Land of Smiles.
