“Great local lunch venue”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014 via mobile

The restaurant has been a feature of Little Chalfont for a number of years but after a couple of mediocre meals I returned today for the first time in 5 years for the fixed price lunch (£9 for 2 courses).

Compared to local chain pub offers, the menu choice is excellent - freshly prepared and cooked food with friendly service. Well worth a visit but watch out for the additional cost for vegetables!

“A Gastronomic Delight!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

We were down from the North West visiting my Mother in Law and she took us out to eat on the Saturday night at Rucola as it is one of her favourite restaurants in the area. And we found out why!! The owner and staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful, The food is excellent and very reasonably priced and the general atmosphere and decor of the restaurant is conducive to to an all round pleasant, relaxing and most enjoyable evening.
Would recommend this establishment to anyone and will certainly aim to eat here again next time we visit.

“Lovely place for lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

Had lunch today in Rucola being looked after by a very friendly young lady,
Free garlic bread to start with, then I had calves liver cooked to perfection, my
Friend had the spaghetti vongole, finished with italian cheeses with bread and
Biscuits, washed down with lovely Barolo. A perfect meal in a place with a nice
Atmosphere, a real gem in little chalfont!

“Good atmosphere & Great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

Rucola is a relaxed but smart Italian restaurant with a really enjoyable atmosphere centred around the Owner who is a real Character and makes you feel very welcome and valued. The menu is varied so something for everyone, great Pasta, Fish and meat. This is a great place to meet friends, take loved ones but probably not ideal for young families. The wine list is good and the beers cold!!
A most enjoyable evening out. We were a group of 4 friends three had pasta which was excellent and one a pizza which seemed to go down very well. Other tables were having fish which was beautifully served and presented, everyone seemed to be enjoying it.

“Awful service and overpriced food.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2014

Table for 2 was booked for 7.30 arrived at 7.15 and waited 45 minutes to be seated. Waited at the table 15 minutes before offered a menu (after asking) waited another 15 minutes for order to be taken. Starter arrived which was ok. Crayfish and advocado. Main course arrived which was supposed to be lobster spaghetti only minus any lobster. A big plate of spaghetti. Waited another 15
minutes for them to clear the table. Considering it cost the best part of £120, the service and food were atrocious. Avoid unless your happy to wait for overpriced food.
