Really nice food every time. (I've probably eaten here over 100 times over the years).

All of it is cooked freshly from raw ingredients and you can really tell that in the taste.

Excellent value as you can chose to eat in the bar which is very reasonably priced hearty food to fine dining in the restaurant.

The latest visit was a business lunch with some overseas visitors who were very impressed.

The bar keeps it's real ales very well and the staff are very pleasant without being obtrusive.

Stayed a few times in the last 6 months on overnight business. Rooms are ok but staff and food are really good. Evening meal in the pub/bistro is consistantly good and the breakfast is excellent served by great waiting staff. If you are staying in the area its definitely worth booking

This was my third visit to The Bell, on each occasion meeting friends approx mid way between our two homes

We had previously ate in the bar and the restaurant and this time we decided to try the bistro which although spotlessly clean, was not as cosy as the other two rooms.

The food was as good as ever although I did feel there didn't seem to be very much choice for our vegetarian friend however this did not appear to be too much of a problem for him.

The staff were polite and attentive and the service was good.

Would definitely return again.

Stayed for 1 night on a business trip.
The Inn is well located with easy access to the A1 and has a car park at the rear.
Professional and courteous staff.
Pleasant room that over looked the back of the hotel - everything worked.
A little noisy at timesand could perhaps do with some more sound proofing but this did not interfer with a good nights kip.
Evening dinner was excellent good choice of food.

We have loved The Bell Inn for many years. For the past two years my wife has suffered serious health problems. Throughout, The Bell Inn Team have been there for us making our visits there very special. I would name particularly Liam, Jill,Jo (manager) Sue(bar manager) and Sue(hotel reception),Helen (waitress), Jean(waitress),Johnny( functions manager) & Spike (turns his hand to anything). The service and facilities provided are excellent for both personal and corporate occasions. The food is also excellent in the bar, bistro and restaurant. Stilton is most fortunate to have The Bell Inn at it's centre and now the producer of the "original stilton cheese". All in all..... jewel in Stilton's crown!!! We are most fortunate.

Went for lunch in the bar, had to wait a while for the table but thats my fault for not booking, so next time i would book as its very popular especialy as it was a saturday lunchtime at 1o'clock , so if you every thinking off going id book. It has a great open fire which i lucky if to sit next too, it was good too as the fire wasnt roaring so it wasnt too hot, great selection to choose from sandwiches to main meals. i choose one of the sandwiches, chicken and sweet chill on malted bread, was lovely came with a small salad and crisps, we shared a bowl of chips which were pently.
so to end a great pub with great food. thank you

just had a lovely break at this hotel with my husband. We stayed for one night and had the dinner bed and breakfast which was lovely. The only downside was the intermittant humming of the water system (I think) that was going in the night and did keep me awake at some point. Also, a radio alarm clock and a mini fridge in the room would be welcome additions. Overall, I had a lovely time and the staff were all very friendly and attentive especially the lady who looked after us at breakfast I think her name may have been Heather but not sure. Would definately recommend this hotel and can't wait to be treated again!!
