having stayed with premier inn before we knew what to expect ,a comfortable stay with great service and facilities ,an oasis in a minefield
we looked at other hotels and b&bs to compare, but the accommodation facilities and value for money at premier came out best.

Used this hotel as a stopover for a trip down to Essex from Leeds. Great location right next to the A1 so dead easy to find. Easy to park in well lit car park right next to hotel. Greeted at reception by lovely young girl who was friendly and chatty and advised us about the facilities and the good night guarantee. Our room was on the ground floor so very easy to get to and was very clean and tidy (even under the bed!). Dined in the onsite restaurant 'Thyme' which offers a wide enough selection at ok prices. The food was tasty and just what we needed after a long drive in horrible weather. Went back to the room and it sounds weird but there are no curtains just sliding doors like a wardrobe but they probably worked better than curtains as they blocked out all the light and I was able to have a lie in the next day without being woken by light. The décor in the rooms is not the new standrard being rolled out with mood lighting etc but everything worked and it was all very clean and tidy. Would definitely stay here again and was a bargain as got it in the room sale for £25!

Good point----- easy to book on line
Friendly staff...IF YOU CAN FIND THEM!
Clean room
Parking space

BAD POINT
Book 2 rooms ask to be next to each other.....not far but not next!

We were there at 12.45 and asked if we could register and change as we came from a long way and were going to a funeral......this was on a friday...so most of there normal clients were already gone BUT SOMEHOW THIS WAS IMPOSSIBLE....

So we had to change in the toilet!!!!

Wanted to have a snack at the bar as the restaurant only open at night??????

sorry....NO FOOD BUT BAR OPEN ALL DAY?????
Managed to get some biscuits with a coffee!!!!

WHAT EVER YOU BUY in this ...hotel????? make sure you have your credit card or cash with you.....you cant put it on the room????/

Same at diner....and breakfast!!!

When we went in our room after diner we had to get dressed again....forget the phone... to go to reception as there was only one bath towel and one hand towel for 2 people......we were given the extra ones ...after we manged to find ...a staff member!!!

Sorry to say we would not recomend this hotel...IF YOU CAN CALL IT THAT......

Ok for overnight stay good sized bed which is very comfy, good sized rooms and very clean, two cups and small amount to make minimum hot drinks, food simple but over priced, the car park is big and well lit at night, entrance to hotel is clean and tidy but there is no atmosphere from the staff (smiles are free)................................................................
Close to major roads but no shops closer enough to walk to

Like I say ideal for a one night stay , the food lets this hotel down

My wife and I enjoyed yet another three nights at this excellent Premier Inn.
This must have been our fifteenth visit and, as always, we enjoyed a comfortable stay.
The staff, as always, were bright, cheerful and friendly.
The room was very clean and very comfortable - and very quiet at night.
Unfortunately, the tv in all the rooms were not working but this was due to high winds damaging the aerial, a problem not easilly fixed. Nevertheless, we hand a very pleasant stay whilst visitin our family who live nearby.

Room Tip: Don't worry, they are all good.

Stayed here Xmas night after spending the day with family.Booked a double and twin room. Clean and functional and very good value for money . Would stay again. Have stayed in other Premier Inns but this was the first time we had received a phone call prior to arrival to advise that there would be breakfast available on Boxing Day morning but no food on Xmas night, a nice touch .

We have stayed in ths premier 3 or 4 times now. It is convenient when visiting relatives. We have always found the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and despite being next to the A1 the rooms we have had at the back of the building have always been quiet and we have had a good night sleep each time in really comfy beds.
Today, two days after getting home from this visit, I discovered I had left my new winter coat in the wardrobe in the room. I phoned and spoke to Lindsay on reception who very kindly found my coat and is going to post it to me tomorrow. What brilliant service. Thank you.
We will definately stay there again. Excellent value for money too.
