Five of us decided to take afternoon tea whilst attending a conference in Harrogate.
It was busy but we only had to wait a few minutes for a table to be cone available.
Yorkshire Cream Teas were had all round with fine tea. Not the cheapest in the world but the service was friendly and impeccable.
It had to be done. Would I do it again - probably!

As we were in Harrogate and as Betty's had been recommended, we queued for half an hour for an early lunch. Cheese on toast, a coffee, a Fat Rascal, chocolate cake and tea came to £28.00. It was nice, but not special. Betty's has a high turn over of customers, it is very busy and not the relaxing experience I had hoped for.

During our recent stay in Harrogate, my wife and I visited Bettys, after walking past it a few times and noticing the brilliant window displays and the line of people waiting to get in. It was worth every minute of the wait and the Aftrenoon Tea we experienced was "sublime". Bettys is an occassion, not just a quick cuppa, cale ad then out the door. The tea selection was exceptional, as were the cakes, biscuits and everything else on the menu. We will be back

service and food excellent. lovely pot of tea. Was a little disappointed with the deco - namely the 70's style ceiling. Shop a little disappointing too - was expecting a lovely display of cakes but it was very limited

We usually have the classic afternoon tea, but after hours walking the Dales we decided something more substantial was required.

I ordered Classic Rarebit with bacon, my companion decided to try the club sandwich, we also ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad and a portion of Pommes Allouette to share.

Everything was delicious, the rarebit, served with Betty's own apple chutney was fantastic, Club Sandwich was also pronounced delicious, the salad which contained chicken wrapped in bacon and a lavish sprinkling of pine nuts was really tasty as were the very crispy matchstick sized chips. Washed down with Elderflower Bubbly we polished off the lot.

Service as always was swift, efficient and very pleasant.

The only disappointment? The shop had sold out of Macaroons and Fat Rascals
