stayed at the new inn for one night , the room was lovely and clean and decorated to a very high standard. the pub had a very cosy bar area with a lovey coal fire, we decided to stay at the inn for our evening meal which was delicous. the couple who had the inn were very welcoming and friendly. would definately go again,

We stayed here for 3 nights over the October half term and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The inn is situtated about 5 miles north-west of Harrogate and is handily placed to visit the Dales, Fountains Abbey ( you must do the free guided tour), Ripon etc.
The room was lovely and the en-suite had a very powerful power shower, my only minor complaint of the inn is that the bathroom didn't have a bath which I always like to have a soak in after a day's walking, but don't let this detract from the inn.
The food was excellent, great plentiful breakfasts, we ate in every night and we were delighted with all the meals. There is a great bar, (with guest ales) , that has open fires and super comfy sofas to relax on.

All in all this is a place that I would recommend to anyone who wants a base to explore this part of the Yorkshire Dales.

A well situated Inn, just 7 miles north of Harrogate. Whilst fairly small, the service was excellent with friendly staff and bedrooms that were very clean and well maintained. We took Dinner, Bed and Breakfast and whilst the food was very good, the dinners were just good "pub" food. Inn well situated for exploring the Dales, with easy access to Harrogate, Skipton, York and the Dales themselves.

After a death in the family, we just fancied a night away and this place fitted the bill.

It's a lovely old building and the food in the restaurant was very tasty.

Great base to explore Harrogate and Ripon.

INCREDIBLE showers in the room, but the room itself was a bit small.

We made a flying visit to the New Inn because a friend was getting married close by - we arrived just before the wedding and left the morning after so didn't have much time, but we would have liked to have stayed longer and also tried the restaurant, which looked great and was very popular on the day we arrived. The room was lovely with a big modern bathroom, everything you need with thoughtful touches like good toiletries, and the owners went out of their way to help us out. Great breakfast in the morning- would definitely stay if we're ever in the area again.
