My husband and I have just returned from a fabulous short break at Spring Wood Lodges. We stayed in the Lilleskov lodge which seems to be the smallest of the five lodges on the site, and it was just perfect.
The lodge itself, although small was well designed and had everything you would need. I took things like kitchen role, dishwasher tablets etc. but there was no need as everything is supplied.

The hot tub was fabulous, the fact that you can lie and look at the stars on a freezing cold night was more than enough to put up with a few seconds of cold air when you are getting in and out! The sauna was a nice touch too, particularly if you have been out and about during the day. The view of the valley from the verandah was wonderful and we spent lots of time just looking out of the window and watching the bird and squirrels!

We usually go to hotels with spas for our uk short breaks but the time we spent at Spring Wood far surpassed any of the trips we have taken before. Needless to say we have already checked the Hoseasons website for another short break early next year but this time we might try for one of the other lodges, just because they seem to be a bit bigger.

Truly an amazing placeto relax and unwind!

As others have said, Spring Wood Lodges have a good spec and are well maintained.

Owners very pleasant folk and they take care of the site well, with a few nice touches added to make you feel welcome.

We stayed in the Lilleskov and found it to be comfortable, well equipped and the hot tub (main reason for renting) extremely simple to use and very relaxing.

Location good, for Harrogate, Ripon and the Dales and we can highly recommend the Queens Head in nearby Kettlesing, absolutely outstanding pub and food.

Accommodation was for two people and privacy was good, with the hot tub at the back and with woods bordering, so really just some wildlife for company. It could do with a light there to aid evening shuffling between door and tub though.

Would recommend it as a good weekend hideaway, good to unwind!

We stayed in evernia which I beleive has the best views . We couldn't find many pictures of the accomadation before booking so pls take a look at the pics. Lodge was very clean and well equipped. Every lodge is positioned so you are not overlooked front and back. The sunken hot tub was fantastic the only intruders were the wildlife with rabbits ,ducks , birds and our favourite the squirrels. A truly relaxing week. Gary and Jenny (Peterborough )

Just returned from a very relaxing break at Springwood Lodges. The location of the lodge was beautiful, set amidst trees with a fabulous view, so peaceful, perfect. The decking area and hottub were amazing, very private and secluded. Had plenty of visitors in he way of squirrels, ducks and birds. Inside the lodge, we were very impressed, great standard of cleanliness and very well equiped. The log burning stove makes the lodge very cosy on a cold evening and just adds something special to the whole log cabin experience. The 4 poster bed was very comfortable and the bedroom warm and toasty. The lodge is perfect for a relaxing, romantic, 'get away from it all' type of holiday. We did not want to leave. Unfortunatly we cannot return here as it is for adults only and we are expecting out first child this Autumn. However we are glad that we got to experience this hidden gem.
