Had a lovely stay for Valentines day. The staff were all friendly and helpful but not intrusive . The food was great and the wine list was extensive. We were entertained by a wonderful Jazz trio who also took requests. Our room was beautiful and very clean. My only suggestion would be that the toiletries didn't live up to the standard of the rest of the Hotel , could do with a little upgrade. Breakfast was fabulous . All in all a very lovely break .

Had a fabulous stay on New Years Eve. Booked the executive apartment which is across from the main hotel but think this is the best choice. So warm and welcoming. Its a two bedroomed apartment where the second bedroom is door stairs. Kitchen area fully stocked with every thing you would need to make a meal if you wanted. Staff very helpful. Car park easy to find and no problem in leaving our car keys in reception in case it needed moving. Hotel right in the centre of Harrogate enabling easy access to restaurants, pubs, shopping etc. all you need right on the door step! Wasn't able to book for the New Years Eve meal including entertainment (but that was our own fault as booked accommodation too late). We however was privileged to go into the bar area/restaurant in the evening and enjoyed the live music and saw in the New Year at the hotel. A big thank you to the staff that found us a table....... Want to book again.
The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of food, tea and coffee. You have to yourself to toast/bread, jam etc and this seemed a BIG problem to some guests as they found it too hard for them to manage! We were sat close to the table where yoghurts, jam, juices, bread etc was and we heard some strange comments! ie. the toaster takes a long time, not enough jam selection etc. etc. everything was good to us!

Stayed for 2 nights mid week with my partner, she had found it on line and we both liked the previous reviews. The weather was not the best wet and breezy. After a trip round part of Harrogates one way system we found the hotel, having read the reviews we were aware that the car park was difficult to find, I stayed in the car while she went in for directions and came back with a handy map armed with this it was easy to locate the parking, what a bonus able to park by the back door to the hotel.went up to a nice warm room with a bath as requested. We went for a look round some shops then back for the early bird dinner, and a very enjoyable meal it was, we both had steak, which had a supplement applied but was well worth it. There were not many diners at the early session so the entertainer had time to chat and have a joke with the customers. Having finished the meal we went for a walk to stretch our legs and let the meal go down. A good nights sleep was had, breakfast was most enjoyable with locally sourced items. The second morning breakfast was as enjoyable as the first. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room had a saniloo which to the uninitiated can cause a surprise when it is first used, after that you dont notice the sound. The hotel is in a great location and we would stay again if on another break in Harrogate.

Stayed at this hotel for a long weekend with friends to celebrate a birthday. Liked the hotel when we saw it online as looked a bit quirky and not impersonal like the bigger hotels. Arrived earlier than check-in time, parked car, welcomed by staff and went off shopping. Had a great evening meal back at the hotel. Bedrooms were individual and spacious. Even had an Ironing board and iron provided for guests. Breakfast was relaxed with plenty of choice. All the staff were attentative; we needed to find out train times into York, this was instantly looked up by staff. Hotel centrally located to shops, restaurants, cafes and public transport. We made an excellent choice when choosing this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of building are quieter for those that like to sleep with the window open.

stayed with my wife and granddaughter, the rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable .
the restaurant is very nice with LIVE music non of this taped rubbish or glorified kareoke singers.
On the night we stayed there was a female pianist/vocalist (Nicki Allan) performing.
I am a professional musician myself and appreciate only good music.
I thought Nicki was Superb, good music and lovely voice.
The hotel offers one "RealAle" ... more selection would be better,
The breakfast was fantastic 2 EGGS, and the best black pudding I have ever had at a hotel.
There is free parking at the rear and you are in walking distance of the centre and attractions.

Room Tip: Rooms at the ear are quieter
