“Small but very nice B&B”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2012

I stayed at Spring Lodge for 1 night with family as we went to a wedding in Harrogate. We didn't have much time in the guest house due to being out late so it was a short but pleasant stay. Positives about Spring Lodge would be: clean, modern rooms with nice decor, en-suite in one room was great, some toiletries are provided which is good if you forget your own, plenty of tea and coffee choice (even some biscuits!), breakfast was delicious (again with plenty of choice) and the owners were also nice and pleasant.
Any negatives would be: quite cold getting into bed and couldn't turn the heating up, small entrance way got a little crowded and not much space for parking as it's located at the very end of a cul-de-sac.
If I was staying in Harrogate again I would visit Spring Lodge (providing I had my hot water bottle!).

My single room was cheap so I wasn't expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised. After a long journey, I felt I could relax for the evening in the room. Staff are nice and friendly and breakfast was lovely.

We stayed in this well positioned little B & B for one night only. It is situated at the very end of a cul de sac close to the centre. Rooms were warm and clean with tea making facilities. If you wish to park a car you will need a permit from the owners to park near the hotel, we managed to park very close by. The only real problem we had was due to the plumbing system. We were woke at 6 am by what sounded like a hand dryer intermitently being turned on in the ensuite. On reporting this to the owner he explained that as our neighbours were using the shower the water pressure/level had dropped which in turn flushes the toilet and turns on the integrated shredder system in the toilet!! This continued for around 45 mins! So please do not use the shower early in the mornings.

We stayed over the night on our way back from Scotland. The owners were great, we had messed them about a bit as we originally booked 2 nights, but due to a family emergency only ended up taking one. They tried their best to resell the room for the night and were very understanding. The room was lovely and very well decorated and equiped, and the location was excellent, only 5 minutes walking from the town centre, but down a quiet road. The breakfast was huge and very good as well. We really enjoyed the stay and found the owners very helpful. Would definitely recommend and hope that we revisit again soon. Many thanks

We were visiting Harrogate to see a show at Harrogate theatre. Didnt want to drive there & back, in the same day, so searched for overnight accommodation. We booked a double en-suite room at Spring lodge £55 for the room & brekkie. It's situated at the end of a cul-de-sac in a very quiet area of the town. We were 5 mins walk from the theatre & eateries.
It's a small 5 bedroom guesthouse run by Derek & Carol who can evidentely run this size of establishment on their own & to a high standard.
The full English breakfast was well prepared & definately not a "greasy spoon" type of breakfast.
We will stay there again
