Good central location, next to a very nice park. Both rooms we had were clean and comfortable.
Very pleasant owner who went out of her way to make our stay perfect. After booking in and a wander around the park, we changed and ate in Luigi's situated almost next door (see review).
The nights sleep was great and we rose to a breakfast of a high standard, sadly they were fully booked and we only stayed for one night.

Stayed at the Cavendish recently.Great location. Very clean. Great service for breakfast. How can anyone moan. It is small yes and the shower room / toilet is very small. But how long is anybody in a bedroom. Not the cheapest B and B but compared to others in Harrogate it is a story of supply and demand. Well done I thought it was good.

Checked in to stay for 2 nights and was allocated Room 7. The door to the room was on the main staircase facing the rear of the property and very small. Although I was not expecting a large room having booked a single this room was very claustrophobic and not helped in the least by having a frosted window so there was no outside view at all. I immediately felt uncomfortable so went back to reception to request a move to a different room.
The landlady was very helpful and said she would moved me to Room 9 which was on the top floor at the front of the building. Well what a difference! This room was a perfect single, there was a larger than single bed (I would guess it was 4ft wide), a good size bathroom with a large walk in shower and most importantly a large window overlooking the park opposite. The beverage tray was well stocked and the kettle looked brand new.
The service at breakfast was prompt and efficient, and the food was hot, fresh and tasty.
There are just a few of things stopping me giving this B&B the full 5 stars, the first being Room 7 which having seen made it difficult for me to give the higher rating. Also the only chair in my room was made of rattan and not very comfortable. Finally the only milk available was full fat and I'm sure that most people these days prefer skimmed or semi-skimmed.

Room Tip: If you have booked a single room ask for Room 9

Brilliant central location for exploring harrogate. Rooms on the small side especially the tiny shower/toilet barely room to move, uncomfy chairs but a comfy bed. Breakfasts were a good standard. Unprofessional owners when faced with a price dispute.

Good Location close to main shops conference centre. Room clean but very small and blocked out window!
Poor nights sleep as couple of young men staying were drunk disturbing all guests to the point were police were called. with the sisters saying "not our fault"
breakfast left a lot to be desired with firstly having to wait 15mins for table then very slow service having to ask 3 times for the coffee to be refilled.
Would not recommend.

I would prefer not to share our experience as I wish to keep this place a secret to ensure they have a room available next time we visit. However as I found it through trip advisor only fair to spread the word. Best B&B we have stayed in, in Harrogate. Location excellent for exploring and proximity to town centre. Parking on street with permits. Breakfast first class. Very warm welcome and lovely clean room. Couldn't ask for more. I hope they have rooms available next time we visit.

nice location as not far from the conference centre, but our room only had 1 window that opened and the room was very warm. The owners attitude is appaulling, when talking or discussing problems with visitors to the hotel so if you do go make sure you have someone with you as they both go at you at the same time. I was disgusted with the way they spoke to my leader and i think a written apology is in order. I shall not be recommending anyone to stop here. there was a wait for the breakfasts in the mornings as well and my husband did enjoy hi 4 slices of mushrooms on hiss plate
