“Luxury B&B close to the town”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

Stayed here for 1 night with my parents and so pleased we booked it. The Arc is tastefully decorated in a contemporary style. Immaculately clean, really comfy beds and lovely pillows !
Breakfast was great, fruit, cereal, full english plenty of tea / coffee/ juice and nothing was too much trouble. Stayed in the bedroom facing the main room and no noise disturbance from traffic, plenty of car parking at rear of hotel and prepaid permit for the front if required. Will definitely be returning and recommending to all our friends.

The room was small but comfortable bed and 2 diffrent pillows to choose from. Minimalist bathroom but suficient.Nice powerful shower.
The area is quiet, at least in the rear. However, you can hear loudly the other guests walking, particularly stairs and corridor. Equaly anoying, can be the main door entrance, making a very loud noise as it closes that can easily wake you up.
A very clear information was given few hours before arrival with all the information we need it, including parking facilities.

This B&B is a 5 minute walk from the Town centre. It has obviously been modernised and re-styled to a high standard, giving a superb overall quality: the rooms are very clean, well-furnished and stylish. Moreover, the owners were very helpful, friendly and flexible. It would be a pleasure to return!

After turning up on bank holiday Sunday and being checked in over the phone by Lisa we found the loft room lovely. The velux windows in the room were lovely for letting the breeze in as it was a very hot day, the bathroom with its loft window was great as if felt like you were showering outside as the sun was blazing in and sky was blue.

The B&B was very modern and clean with wonderfully soft towels and crisp bedding,There was a large flat screen tv, hairdryer and toiletries in the room as well as hot drink making facilities and bottled water.

For a last minute trip this was a little gem and we would definitely stay again.

Thank you Lisa for letting us check in over the phone and pay on departure we will be recommending you.

Room Tip: the loft room was lovely a different take on your standard hotel room

Stayed at The Arc for the North Print show at Harrogate International Centre. My sat nav couldn't find 68 Kings Rd but I found it opposite the Holiday Inn which adjoins the exhibition halls, so it was in a perfect location. I had to park in a side road which is residents only parking and quickly go to The Arc to book in and collect a scratchcard permit which is included in the cost of the stay. The check-in was very fast so the car was unattended less than 5 minutes but there were a few parking attendants in the area so if there are 2 of you travelling I would recommend one staying with the car whilst the other gets the permit - less stressful!

You have to call a mobile number on arrival but I was let in very promptly and my first impressions were that the property was very clean and the welcome was very friendly. I was given room 6, a double on the top floor facing the main road. Initially I thought that it might be rather noisy, but I realised that the double-glazed sash window was slightly open so once this was closed the noise was not a problem. The room was quite small but perfectly adequate (typical B&B ensuite double) and the bedding was fresh and clean. The bathroom had a very powerful, hot shower and a nice, modern WC and basin.

Breakfast was excellent - serve-yourself cereals, fruit and juice followed by a wonderful full Yorkshire breakfast.

The parking permit entitled me to stay until midday the next day but I needed to stay until 4pm so the lady on reception gave me a second permit free of charge to cover me for the afternoon.

The Arc is a 5 minute walk from the edge of the town and I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is perfectly located within close proximity to the towns many restaurants.
As this was a working trip and exit was early on the three mornings we stayed we didn't breakfast. However it did smell good.
Our room was modern, fresh and very clean with all the amenities.
The whole hotel looked very well kept and updated with quality workmanship.
The only reason why I didn't give this lovely little hotel an overall 5 was that the room was quite small. Having said that we would return and recommend.

We just stayed one night but a great find this place was. We wanted a reasonably priced place in central Harrogate with clean and comfy furnishings. The Arc is much more, I would describe it as a boutique B&B with great quality fixtures and fittings. Lisa made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back again. Thank you
