“A great family site”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

Just came back from Rudding Park after a few days camping and have to say its a great site .
The pitches are large and our large tent fitted no problem the electric hook up worked great
and the toilets were spotless.
The pub and games room was also very good (if a little pricey) and the food on offer good but not great .
We went to the falcon pub up the road and the food was great and of similar price and the pub its self of good décor .
Overall a great site for familys and worth the cost .

Our extended family enjoyed a lovely holiday in Yorkshire based at Rudding Park. The Bothy-our home for the week contained everything we needed and some, it was clean and well maintained and the enclosed garden was ideal for our 4 year old grand daughter to play in safely.
All the staff were extremely helpful and courteous.
We will certainly return in the not too distant future

We have stayed at Rudding Park on many occasions and indeed posted a few reviews on trip advisor. This time we decided to try the lodges for a couple of nights and found there was just as much enjoyment to be had in a less formal way. We stayed in the "Portrush" lodge which was 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as well as having it's own hot tub. Right next to the golf course and driving range! One of the most spectacular features of the lodges are the bi-folding doors which completely open the outside world into your stay. Admittedly we did have fantastic weather so could appreciate the feature more than maybe through the winter months. The staff have the same attention to detail as the hotel and helped in making our stay special. Definitely a way of getting away from it all.

Room Tip: Portrush was fabulous

Just back from a second trip to Rudding Holiday Park, this is a lovely site, we stayed in a tent and the pitch sizes are great 10 x 10m all with electric hook up. The toilets and showers are all very clean along with the whole site. The outdoor pool was a favourite with the kids (a charge of £3.25 per child per session) but it is heated so even if the weather isn't great they can go in the pool. The pub on site served food which was a good standard and reasonably priced too. A couple of parks on site along with a big field for the kids to play in. All in all worth the money, lovely site.

I am posting this review a year after actually staying in the Portrush Lodge in July 2012. We rented the lodge for 5 nights during which our daughter had her wedding at Rudding Park Hotel. We could not fault the lodge, we entertained our guests at the lodge who were also attending the wedding, the staff from the hotel made our experience easy, relaxing and alot of fun, nothing was too much trouble, even down to housekeeping bringing us extra glasses etc. The clocktower food was excellent, the breakfast was the best we have ever had, all made extra good by the courteous, friendly staff. We would fully recommend this experience to everyone and would hope to stay again sometime in the future.

stayed for just 1 night in our new 8 man tent... It was £41.00 for 1 night including electric hook up - So for 2 adults, 5 kids, 2 dogs and 2 cars it wasnt a bad price... My only complaint was that we then had to pay £3.25 per child for the heated outdoor pool... I thought this was a little high as camping is supposed to be a cheaper alternative to hotels etc... Tiolets and showers all clean...

We stayed in the Duck Nest Loft, a self catering lodge for two persons. It has a fully fitted kitchen, lovely clean bathroom and a very comfortable large bed, with excellent linen, fluffy pillows and super soft towels and Molton Brown toiletries.
The real paradise of this place is the setting, you enter up the side stairs and as you are one floor up the views are beautiful, the farm animals that surround the loft give a real sense of escaping from the rat race.
Rudding Park is beautiful and is set in the most amazing park land. There are plenty a picturesque villages to walk to and lovely village pubs to have a hearty meal at.
We will be back, it's just too beautiful not too!
