“Birthday celebration”
Reviewed 19 September 2013

We stayed at the Kimberley on Tues 17th Sept, booked by a living social deal, when we got there we were upgraded to a 'Deluxe' room in the Annexe building. This was fabulous!! very spacious with complimentary water, tea, coffee, biscuits. This is the 2nd time I have now stayed at the Kimberley and would have no desire to stay any where else in Harrogate now. All the staff are very helpful & friendly and the breakfasts are amazing! I am going back in November to celebrate my friends 50th. Thankyou so much to all staff that work there, you do an amazing job! see you in November

Room Tip: Annexe rooms are fabulous

We arrived in Harrogate late on Friday 13th, we had nowhere to stay, and a relative in Harrogate Hospital. While my husband visited his father, I scoured the Internet for a decent hotel with a sensible policy towards dogs. I read the reviews on Trip Advisor + gave the kimberley a call. They were delighted to help, and even gave me a special rate to allow us to take breakfast in our room. We did find the hotel a little awkward to find in the dark, and parking was a challenge. Once we arrived the staff were friendly + helpful. Our room was on the groundfloor in the annexe. It was an executive double, and utterly wonderful. An enormous bed, aleather 2 seater settee. Table + chairs, and a desk. Our bathroom was also spectacular, and spotlessly clean. We were hungry, but had just missed the 9.30 deadline, so the choice for food was limited. My husband really fancied something on the earlier menu, so we rang room service. A few, minutes later they called back to say that they would be happy to help! Wonderful. While waiting for dinner we moved our car up into the hotel car park, right near our door. The food was great. We had a wonderfully peaceful nights sleep, in an extremely cosy bed. Nest morning our breakfast arrived promptly, along with sausages and bacon for our dog. Every member of staff we dealt with went the extra mile to help us. We loved it there, and will definitely

We came to the Kimberley on a Living Social break in a double executive room with a 2 course meal on our first evening.

We arrived on 25th August, checked in and headed off to our room in the annexe at the rear of the hotel. The room was absolutely lovely, spacious, complimentary bottled water, a huge bath with fab shower. The room overlooked a wooded area at the back and was so peaceful. Oh, not forgetting the 42" flat screen wall mounted TV.

After unpacking, and feeling peckish, we headed to the Signatures bar at the front of the hotel. Didn't want anything too filling, so opted for soup and a sandwich - a bargain at only £5 each and really tasty. We ate in the restaurant on our first nit and the food was first class and the service excellent.

After a good nights sleep, we headed down for breakfast. Excellent choice, which was replenished frequently - the only downside was how close the tables were to each other.

All in all, a fantastic hotel and we will definitely return. And the £6 car parking charge, so what, some hotels charge up to £20 per night to park and some have no nearby parking facilities. Staff were all friendly, especially those in Signatures.

Thank you for making our anniversary stay one we won't forget. Mark & Helen

12 Ladies came from South Shields for a weekend break. On arrival we found it a maze to find our rooms! My friend and I were in 2105 and it was very comfortable and quiet. Modern bathroom which was too hot but a cosy Bedroom! The staff were fantastic and we ate in the Signature restaurant for both nights. Jamie and Akat (blonde manager) were so welcoming and helpful. The food was briliant though we had the same menu both nights which was a bit disappointing! Breakfast was a busy time and thought the dining space was small it was still ok. Bit cramped and awkward trying to get your food but a nice choice and pleasant staff again. The lounge was a bit of a let down and not cosy like the rest of the hotel. We would definitely all stay here again and I would certainly recommend this hotel .

Room Tip: We were in the back of the hotel looking onto the car park which was ok. We weren't disturbed at...

Visited on Friday 13th on room only Basis. Hotel is in an ideal location a short walk into the Center. Check in is at 2pm we arrived around 1:30 in the pouring rain. We were advised the room wasn't ready and to come back again.

No attempt was made to actually check if the room was ready rather than having to go and come back again for the sake of 30 minutes. Luckily at the time housekeeping arrived and advised the room was ready so we could check in.

Room was clean and a maintained to a high standard and a good size.

Overall a good stay and would recommend.

Note: Would have been good if the hotel had umbrellas available for guests to use which they advised they don’t, resulting in a very soggy walk to find a shop!

Room Tip: room 1004 was at the back of hotel and quiet

Took my partner away for the night thought it would be nice to have breakfast in bed. The food arrived 2 full English it was all slopped on a plate, cold, inedible. Sausages was burnt, cold toast. Rang reception to complain they took the meals away and offered a replacement by that point we had lost our appetite. For that reason it has put us both off staying again. Also when we settled the bill there was no mension about breakfast and no apology.

Stayed 2 nights august bank holiday, upgraded room and was impressed by size and standard of the room, good location easy to walk into the centre, breakfast was plentiful and we ate 1 night in the bistro which was good but avoid the pinot grigio it's a bit rough!
Enjoyed Harrogate, loved afternoon tea at Bettys and a visit to Harlow Carr.
